Google no longer free??

My husband told me he heard that google was not going to be anymore a free web page.
He told me that the news here in Mexico said that you will need to pay in order to become a member and be able to seek for information. Is this truth or they just want to scare us all?
Is it for the web page, for the applications or for gmail the suscription costs??
Is this a joke like the hotmail gossip of it been closed??
If truth, do you agree on this or not??
What other search pages are as good as google?
I would be really gratefull if you clear this for us and if you give us your opinion. Thank you very much.

Firstly, it's fake news; Secondly, we can use other searching engineer like yahoo.com, Bing.com;
If it's a truth news, I won't use it because I have other options. And I think other searching engineer provider will definite make improvements.

It is impossible. They are already earning a lot . And their main reason of earning is due to their being providing Free Services. If they put restriction on their account surely their business and repute will go down as most of the people like Free services on the net no body want to pay
