hey mylotters i would like to ask from all of you that have you added your debit or credit card to your paypal account. what is the amount of money charged by paypal to verify the debit card. if you have added your card and charged some money then please tell me. Apart from this tell me where do you get the 4 digit code of paypal to verify your debit or credit card. do you get it in your bank statement or the debit card statement. please tell me in detail.

Hello, i have verify my Paypal account with a credit card longtime ago. When you add your credit card, they take 1.5$ from your bank account and transfer it yo your Paypal account. On your bank statement, you'll see the 4 digit code beside the name of Paypal transfert, you must type this code into your Paypal account and you wll be a verified member! Then, you could receive and send money Paypal without any limits!

You should call the bank like I did. And ask for the 4 pincode. Im sure they will give you.

yes they have deducted 1.9$ from my account. but in bank statement no such code has come along with the name of paypal. the bank statement is in somewhat different way, not in the way paypal has shown an example pp*1234 EXPUS. that is the reason that i am not able to give them 4 digit code.i think they will send my statement to my billing address. i am totally confused what to do. ok let me ask paypal for this.

PayPal do not charge for verifying an account. There are several methods they use for verification. One of the commonest is for them to deposit two small amounts into the account you specify. Once you see those two small payments, you go back to the PayPal site and type those numbers in and that shows that you own (or have access to) the account you specified.

they have charged my debit card 1.97$ one time and told that they will pay it back to my paypal account. i hope they will pay me back. have you given them your verification code.

Yes, I have verified my account some while ago. They made two separate payments to my bank account, each of less than £1 and I simply entered the two 'pence' amounts as four figures when required.
