in this generation, a lot of artists produce a lot of songs... some of them last number one in the charts for a month, but after they're gone, they're gone. unlike some of the old songs, they were famous in the old days and still famous nowadays? we can relate to new songs because they talk about things happening to us, to our surrounding, while old songs talk about what has happening then. but why are old songs still alive and some good new songs, die...

I love listening to old songs, I keep on reminiscing the times when those songs hit the charts in my younger years. Remembering the old times, traveling back to memory lane, how you felt during those days when you had your first crush, your first love, your teen friends, your get-togethers and so on. Oh! I really love looking back during my younger years.

i'm a fan of old songs... the meaning behind the lyrics have more depth... i specifically love the song "said I loved you (but I lied)".. it's so beautiful... there are so many other more like "the first time I loved forever" "Fixing a broken heart" "What do we mean to each other" etc... I think they are being played over and over again because they are classics, you won't get tired of listening to them..

Maybe because the meaning of the song and the lyrics are better. There are still new songs that are still played on the radio even after a long time. Old songs are maybe played also for old people, and because many people still love old songs. I love old songs.

I think those old songs set some standards of music, it is more meaningful and has the best melodies. That is why they are still requested and being played nowadays, and its artists are mostly now known as music legends. Well, there are some new songs that just doesn't seem to die in the charts, too. Many people appreciate refreshing beats with a good message. Some are just one hit wonders, and too mainstream.

Old songs are classic, people of all ages can do familiaze them easily as they are played over & over on radio. I think the lyrics of those songs are more meaningful and expressive compared to the new kinds of music today.
