Ever felt Ipods are overrated. They aren't worth the green? I mean compared to an iphone there isn't anything different in it. You can listen to songs, watch videos, play games, and do anything on an iphone ,or any phone for that matter, that you do on an ipod. What do you think?

No I don't think Ipods are overrated at all. If you are to compare it to what an I-phone please remember an I-phone can cost hundreds more than a simple I-pod for listening to music and watching videos. I recieved my first Ipod as a gift for x-mas two years ago and I have to say that it was the best and most thoughtful gift because it was the gift of music- which is something I love. I cannot afford an Iphone nor do I have service with the companies that allow for a contract to use an I-phone- so to me..my Ipod is just fine :)

Well, considering the cost an iphone costs about a 100 dollars more than an ipod touch. Ipod nano and lesser versions cost much lesser but they don't have as many functions as an ipod touch or iphone. So, yes I agree that some of the older versions may be worth it but ipod nano and ipod touch still don't seem worth it considering there are other gadgets available which are much more functional.

I love my ipod. the area in which an ipod is undoubtably better than an iphone is the storage. and iphone is lacking in much storage. I would have filled an iphone several times, but my ipod is barely a third full. I can see the benefit of only needing to take the one gadget with you, but if you have a proper ipod, your phone only really needs to be able to make calls and text messages. nothing else is necessary. I have a really basic phone and it's more than enough for me. but my ipod I would never swap for an iphone. they just don't seem very good to me

I don't think IPods are overrated.I am not really a cellphone addict, even if a lot of models now can function the same as an Ipod.I love and adore my IPod.I can't part with it.the only function I consider for a phone is it should take great pictures.other than that,I will not trade my IPod for an IPhone or other expensive, new phones in the market.

I have an ipod touch, and I don't don't think they are over rated at all. It is the closest to aniphone I will ever get, since I am not with AT&T. I don't play on the ipod touch everyday, but I do once in awhile. I will play on it when I get tired of being on the computer as it gives me something different to do. I have the 8gig ipod touch, which is big enough for me, as I probagly won't put all that much music on it. I do have games and other apps on it, and once in awhile I will check on the apps tore to see if there are new ones to download and install. It can hold thousands of apps, which makes it just as nice as the iphone, but without being able to call. Take care, and happy mylotting.
