Valentines day. Yes or No?

I wanted to ask you, what do you think about Valentines day? In my opinion this day has lost the "magic". In our days everyone makes such a big deal of all this love stuff. I think there is too much hearts and teddies and red colors in Valentines day, it's too banal for me. Yeah, maybe you are thinking "Oh she has no boyfriend, she's alone and she is just jealous." But no, I have a boyfriend and we are so happy together. But no one of us likes Valentines day, because its not something special anymore. This day is a "big red heart" now. But I think it has to be a special day, but without all the commercials. I think you don't have to say in this day "Happy Valentines day, I love you honey!" but just "I love you honey!" So, what do you think about Valentines day ?

Valentines Day has been a commercial holiday for a long time. This is a day for lovers that corporations took over to make tons of money. You have greeting card companies, chocolate companies, flower companies, and jewelry companies among others I know I am missing that market their stuff toward lovers. It's funny how they try making one specific day for lovers when everyday should be for lovers and not just one special one once a year. I still buy my wife stuff but it's crazy how much everything has increased in price. I could of got roses last week down the road from us for $15.99 a dozen and prices this week are already at $26.99 for a dozen. But my wife is worth spending the money on but I just don't get her stuff on Valentines day nor will I ever just get her stuff on that day. On Valentine's Day she knows she is receiving stuff but the other times throughout the year that she is surprised when she gets flowers or something is how it should be.
