Hello Lotters, I should probably used internet explorer the new version and google chrome again if this keeps up. oh, yeah, mozilla the great firefox has started crashing again, again and again. most specially if am watching very important videos. most specially suspense once, you get to the last part then boom! crashed down and restart. No, this isn't the first time it crashed down but it happened several times before. you got a good advice i can take it. it normally crashed down when ever i have more than nine tabs. Have a great day.

Before I finished reading your post, I knew that you may have opened up too many tabs, thus causing a heavy load on your CPU which causes the crash. If you like tabbed browsers, you may want to try Avant browser, which is as good as Firefox. Visit www.avantbrowser.com and download the free browser.

I'm opening 20 tabs or more while using Opera and my CPU process is almost near as the Firefox browser with four or five opened tabs. I haven't tried this in Chrome but I think it will be more efficient too than Firefox. I haven't heard of the Avant browser though, I'm gonna check it out for myself and see

Do you always update your Mozilla Firefox when there are news versions? I sometimes have bugs too but it's very rare. I always update when news versions are available, and since 1 year now, i never had bug with this browser...

yeah I agree you should update your firefox to fix those problem but if the problem still occurring then maybe its time to write the support of mozilla., I used firefox for a year now and i had the same problem, but now my firefox is fine it doesn't crash.

I highly doubt that. I have the same problem and it all started when I updated my firefox to latest. Now I'm waiting for the new version to come out to address my problem

Once I updated Firefox, it kept crashing. But after latest update, it's working fine. I used to be a Firefox fan but no more now. Watching too much suspense is injurious to health---that's the the moral of story!

I used to use Firefox quite a lot until the later versions started crashing out on me. i have reverted to using Opera as my default browser. Why? There are many reasons, and one of it is I could have more than 40 tabs, while having music in the background. I know that many Internet users dislike Opera with issues like several websites not optimised for it, but if something works for most of the time, I will keep using it. Version 10.5b is even better. If I am not mistaken Avant is based on the Trident engine, the one used by IE. You will find that most websites work well on Avant. Use Chrome with care, since it uses even more system resources, and at times would refuse to load, or does not function well.

That is the same things which happen to my Firefox browser it often crashed then it restart again causing my browser to hang. I think it is a glitch in the browser itself since i already clean my PC with anti-virus and other cleaners and still the problem exist. Yeah, with many tabs open sometimes I have 10 tabs then another browser is open. This occur especially when one is doing mylotting and at the same time playing online games this really makes the browser so slow to responses and by minimizing the tabs open it comes back to normal again.

Maybe your playing some flash games in another browser. Those flash games you play in facebook is resource hogger and I usually find my CPU process at 100% and that's not a good sign because it's burning up my hard disk. Firefox is also a resource hogger so it's practically not a good thing

I updated to the newest Firefox version but still it's consistent in hogging my computer resources even if there is only one or two tabs open. I'm so over with Firefox for now

I had so many problems using IE8 with my Windows Vista computers. Since I switched to Mozilla no problems. Of course I have never had even close to 9 tabs and one time.

i think that you sould update your version of firefox if you refer to firefox and normally all these crashes won't be so normal as you descrbed!!In reality i use firefox and crashes are not as so!!it depends also from your pc...if you have a low configuration and you are reaching complex contents the browser can crash but in reality it is the system that crashes...

Maybe it's time you updated your Firefox? I've been using Mozilla for ages and mines has never crashed. When was the last time you updated it? If it's been quite a while then you should update it right now, if that doesn't help you should contact Mozilla, I'm sure they'll give you great advice (:

I've had some problems with mozilla a while back and the only solution was to uninstall and reinstall. But I never understood what the problem was. I haven't problems for over a year now and I think firefox has a lot more apps and potencial than any other.

I usually open more than 10 tabs and have no problem of Firefox crashing. It may be due to your background computer programs conflicting with Firefox.
