Normally I fight the good fight on taxation, only to have the constant swarm of taxation is good arguments. Well what is the saying if you cannot beat them join them. Okay so for the second start year I owe taxes, and not just a little, about $2k. Now I know to so that is not much But to me that is a lot, but I just remind myself what everyone keeps telling me, taxation is a good thing. Sure I was saving up to buy something this year, but that will have to wait because I will have to take the money from my saving account to pay the IRS, but taxation is a good thing. I do have a question for the taxation is a good thing crowd, when you file your taxes why do you look forward to a return? If taxation is a good thing, why do you want your money back?

I will owe this year, too. Since my income is from spousal support (married 19 years and stayed home to raise the children, no outside word) I have to pay taxes and my goal is to pay quarterly and be up to date. Thank goodness I won't owe quite so much this year because of some deductions but I can't see why anyone would EVER let the government take more than they owe. If they put it in a savings account instead, they'd at least get some interest on it. Not much, but they'd control their money.

I would rather have my money now and pay late than than the other way.

No taxation without representation. I don't normally pay because we only have one income and we travel a lot. I've had to pay but I didn't mind because at least I live where the taxes aren't so high that I can't enjoy the things I need.
