It's that dreaded time of year again for us in the U.S. and I hope I am not alone but have you filed your taxes yet? Will you itemize or just do it the easier way? I dread doing this each year and honestly should just get off my rear and do it seeing as how we will get a return but UGH I just don't have the drive yet. How about you?

Yes, mine are done! I have a tax accountant do mine because my income is from so many different things. I'm so glad to have it done, though, and to know that I don't owe anything this year, either to Federal or State.

We have already filed and are waiting for our return!! We were very pleased to find we're getting much more back than we ever have. We usually are not this fast about filing but our CPA(mother-in-law) has been unemployed and had more time this year to get ours finished early. Its to big to e-file so we have to send it in the mail, and we wait for the check to come instead of direct deposit. So 3-4 weeks until we recieve it. Good Luck and hope you get them filed before the deadline.

Good for you! I know in these hard times every bit counts! I hope that it will help your family greatly! As for ours we always get them filed before the deadline. I just haven't been motivated this year as I have been pretty ill, but I should have them in soon enough. Can't be too soon though as we could catch up some bills! :)

No, I haven't even gotten all of my 1099's yet. Even when I get them I will have to wait to file because they always send out several rounds of corrected ones. One year a corrected one was posted on line with the date of April 14 and of course I had already filed by then. It is a hassle every year and since I always get a refund, it means I get it much later than I would if this were not a problem.

My wife and I got out taxes done last week. We got back a refund of almost $4,000, and the money should be deposited into our bank account in a few days. I plan to use it to pay off my truck and some other debts. I will also probably use part of the money to buy myself a new bicycle so that I can start riding again.
