Well, even though we don't want these marks to be on our body, they may still occur on us. If you do have some, how do you deal with them? Do these marks affect your way of living?

Hi! I first noticed that I had gained stretch marks on my thighs and my bottom after my growth spurt in high school. I was extremely self conscious of them, and used to put cocoa butter on them after taking showers because I had heard that helped. After getting married I was even more self conscious because I saw them as an imperfection. To my surprise, my husband loved them. He thought they were adorable and said he loves them because they're mine. That definitely helped. Also, he has stretch marks on his upper arms from gaining a bunch of weight in his earlier years, and I find his adorable as well. So I can definitely believe him when he claims he loves mine! I no longer want to get rid of them, because what I thought was an imperfection actually makes me seem more perfect to the one person who truly matters to me.

Hi again! Well, you can still feel the different skin textures where mine are, but the cocoa butter seemed to fade them a little bit. I didn't use it for too long and I certainly forgot to put it on sometimes, but they aren't as noticeable as they once were.

Hi there LovingLife139... That's somehow weird and sweet. xD An imperfection seems perfect to the one you love and the one who loves you... Does putting or applying cocoa butter helped? How long have you taken this ointment thing? By the way, thanks for your response and thanks also for dropping by.

Well, I don't have too much obvious stretch marks but I am somehow conscious about these marks. I don't know if Cocoa Butter would be available here, but I would try looking for such ointment. Anyways, you have said that you didn't use it for too long, how are they now? Have they disappeared in a natural way?

Hi skbrence, Ah yes, the nightmare of mothers =) after the birth of my 1st child, stretchmarks (already colourless) are found on my tummy, hips and buttocks. Sigh... no amount of moisturiser can help. During pregnancy, I was diligent in applying the creamiest of lotion but alas...! And it varies with people - I've heard of some mothers who don't have any. Anyway, I've accepted the marks. I do daily tummy and buttock (light) exercise to firm up those areas and will also moisturise those areas (whenever I'm motivated to). Can't wear bikinis so make do with tankinis or one-piece swimsuit =) Life goes on... ha =)

Hi there jes2ie... Hehe... It's not only a nightmare exclusive for mothers... It also applies for men. Like me, I have some but not too obvious (I'm too vain that's why I always notice them... xD) I can't show my body or even wear trunks because of these marks... I am always conscious about these marks... I'm too vain. xD I have never tried applying lotions on those marks, but I would somehow try. By the way, thanks for your response and thanks also for dropping by.

I have afew stretch marks but they dont bother me really. They are just natural from my body growing. If I was pregnant and had worse ones they may bother me. Bio oil is meant to be really good or cocoa butter.

no matter the situation stretch marks just plain suck. And every women who has them is usuually self conscious about them. I my self have stretch marks from my pregnancy, and really all i can suggest is coco butter thats designed to make them fade.. i started using it, but have recently stopped cause im pregnant again, and figure im going to get them again anyways, so i'll deal with them after this pregnancy is over.

I have stretch marks too. As far as I know, the only way to get rid of them is with laser treatment. I don't want to do that, so I just accepted them. I try to prevent to gain and loose weight too fast, because that's when they appear. Also I use body lotion to make the skin not so dry.

Hi there bananamen1... I do have some too. I don't want laser treatment just to cure or just to make these stretch marks disappear. .
