I was there for 3 days in 2004. It's a lot beautiful things to see, especially the temples, but for me it was too warm. We had 40 degrees Celsius for all three days, so it was very hot, very sunny and quite humid. We particularly like the National museum, it was very interesting, not a lot of people there and it was air conditioned. We went to some very nice restaurants, not the most expensive ones but we could very good food. We also went to a lunch buffet at one of the more expensive hotels, the lunch wasn't too pricey though and it was a lot of good food there. I got a bita annoyed with everyone trying to make me buy bread to feed the birds or the fishes etc., I can do that at home too! I don't go to Bangkok to feed pidgeons or fish. Neither I nor the friends I went with are very fond of shopping, so we just walked for a round in one of the big shopping centres but from I could see shopping is probably great. We bought socks and underwear and were quite happy with that :-)

SM5550, Perhaps you can let people know when you will be going and if the whole 10 days you are spending is purely holidaying or part work. What you like to do or plan to do will also help to provide more accurate answers for your holiday plans. So, let us know how we can help....

SM5550, For 10 days you may want to choose visiting another city either Pattaya if you like sandy beaches or Chiangmai for rustic countryside and the world's largest handicraft center. Thailand being the Jewel of Asia is also a country where Buddhism is the religion for the majority of the population. So Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand is basically a cosmopolitan city where its tour highlights will be tours to the various major temples - the Golden Buddha Temple, Emerald Buddha Temple, Reclining Buddha Temple and the Four Faced Buddha being the main attractions. You will also visit the Grand Palace, which is the former official residence of the Thai monarch and now converted to become office for the Parliament. Then, there will be Floating Market where you will be able to witness the another aspect and way of life of the local people in Thailand's Menam River. So much for sightseeing, Bangkok is also a shopper's paradise with sales at every part of the city and you can really live to the saying where you can literally shop till you drop. Day shopping at the wholesale malls like Pratunam, Siam Square, BoBae Towers and the affable humongous Chatuchak (Weekend) Market. And when you think that shopping is over when the sunsets then don't blink you have the Suan Luan Night Bazaar market and the notorious Patpong a night market in Thailand's colorful world of Suzy Wong Pole Dancing Night Clubs and Open air bars or taverns. I hope these tips are enough to help you start with your travel plans and if you need anything further just don't hesitate. Have a great day.
