Sorry to hear about your stomach problem. I had ulcers many years back. Though I did not hv much pain, but I sometimes used to pass blood with my potty and had to get endoscopy done twice. Though they gave me medicines, but the stress was much on what to eat and what not to eat. All oily and fried foods are big NO! NO!. U should hv plenty of fresh fruits, but try not to eat guava or any other fruits which has seeds as they might disturb yr stomach. Take plenty of curd and milk should not be taken hot. and I used to take digene after my meals. Has yr doctor recommended surgery for yr ulcers/ My feeling is that surgery is required only in extreme cases and that too when medicines hv not helped. Lets pray u hv speedy recovery.

I know my uncle got ulcer but is just taking medication and so far its working on him. I think if you keep your tummy always at least with something to digest it would not attack you and if you avoid acidic foods like softdrinks or something like that it won't bother you. But if the Ulcer is already worst I think you would need to have it undergo some kind of surgery. It depends on what your doctor would prescribe you to do. For me, i guess it is better not to have yourself go into surgery if medication can still relieve the pain.
