Men with shaved armpits?

Do you think it is necessary for a man to shave his armpits? When I am on the beach it is obvious how many man shave their armpits.

I personally only shave my armpits when I am wearing a sleeveless top or my swimsuit. My husband never shaves. What really is the purpose of shaving? To make the razor companies rich?

When you are in a bus or metro it is terrible someone standing next to you holding his arm up and you see lots of hair.
