I have only one TV set at home and I don't want one more. Because I seldom watch TV today. Usually I will just watch the news, some cooking shows etc. I won't spend long time watching TV. So I don't want one more TV set at home. I love China

I think my tv set is missing me so much cos I have not watched tv for a long time. My time now is so much consumed in front of the computer screen and tv has become so unnecessary in my life. I think I can just forget about having another tv set but for the sake of my children I will get them a flat screen tv soon.

if i could have another one, it would be for our children's viewing. if we have another one, i would put the other one in our room. our kids love to watch cartoons and other children's show while my wife and i usually watch movies that is mature in content. i am only afraid of the electric bill could go up if we have more than one tv set at home.

Like yo i am also not an avid or compulsive tv watcher. I watch tv while having breakfast in the morning, while having tea in the afternoon and at dinner time. I am single and live alone therefore i do not need more than one set.sometimes when the tv has conked off i still do not miss it because i have other hobbies which replace the time that i take to watch the tv.

We have two tv sets in our house. One is located in the living room and one in our parents room. We usually watch tv in our parents room when we are watching news or movies. The tv on the living room is mostly used when playing console games

Its good to have one more set of television in the house. The advantage is that different family members who have different taste on programs can be able to see their favorite programs without quarreling for the remote. The problem is that you are bringing the influence of television close to your home. Television can build up social interest and watching programs in television and spending more time to it could be socially hazardous. Because of two much freedom t.v programs now a days have the power to influence the individual mood of thinking. For example in the showbiz, television networks promote their actors and actresses by making them seen on television and often time inventing stories upon them to make them famous. And because they were seen on t.v, the people use to admire them so much that often times it influence their mentality and social perception. And because popularity is one of the needs and satisfaction of man, all the teenagers want to be an actor or an actress too or to be a television personality. Thus shifting the interest of the young ones.Another problem is that this showbiz people are not bound with ethics. Often times we can see them in an instant that they become pregnant without a husband, or having a baby without having married. The might affect the social society that we live in because of possible influence. All of these because of money.Television networks want to gain more money and they are using those actors and actresses in a form of social exploitation with or without realizing that they are deteriorating the social perception of man and the society itself by influencing it. What I say is just one of the example of the negative effect on so much exposure on television at home. How ever they say that it depends upon the individual if he is affected or not, but the fact that the risk exist it is still hazardous. Parental guidance also helps but in this modern society it was not being performed by household because of time conflicts. What I can say is that television must be limited, and parents must limit their kid's exposure to television.

youless, I think this is quite individual and circumstantial. I have a rather television watching family where the children will like to watch their children programs and adults watching the news, sitcom or some reality shows. Most of the time, there will be clashes for the television if both parties wants to watch their preferred programs. So, in my house I have 3 television sets to overcome schedule clashing problems. However, the family has a rule that the family will have to have at least half and hour together in the living room for interactions after dinner. It will be a time of family together where we will talk about everything and anything under the roof. I feel that this is a good rule where it will promote family bonding and take care of the cons of having more than 1 television at home. Have a nice

youless, I feel that at least we do not need to tussle for the television when everyone has different program to watch. Also, I can understand the feeling when we fall sick and cannot get out of bed to go to the living room to watch television. So, I have the television in every room. Besides, we have antennae outlets in every room, too. So, it is not really a problem.

I have enough TVs. I would like to replace the smaller ones I have with LCD or plasma but they are fine for now. I got a plasma one for the livingroom a couple of months ago. That's enough for a while.

Even if I wanted one more TV set, it wont be practical to own another one. We have one in the living room and since the house is not big, its a good thing we can gather there and watch TV shows together.

We have about three televisions and we hardly watch t.v. at all. I don't need anymore at the moment. The third one is actually put up in our shed because we just don't have a need for so many t.v.'s.

It would be really nice to have another TV set in here. my husband likes to watch the Sci-fi channel, and I find the station to be really really annoying. the sound effects drive me absolutely nuts. It would be nice to have a TV in the bedroom, so that while he's watching Sci-fi, I could watch something else.

Hey friend. I've got a PC and most of the time I spend my time working before my desktop. I don't really need to watch TV programmes except news. I've also got a combo TV box with which I watch TV when I feel like to. So, I don't need any extra TV set. Have a nice day.

I will probably get around to changing my tube TV for a flatscreen one at some stage once it breaks, but I have no need for another TV in the house...I don't need one in the kitchen,I have no need for one in the bedroom,so the Living room one is the only one I ever sit down to watch..
