Fruits and vegetables are essential to have a healthy life. In my case, my husband is not usually fond of eating vegetables so we eat fruits instead. But how much fruits should we eat in a day to sustain the body's needs of the essential nutrients? Do you have an idea? What can you advice me? Thank you!

hi theer p2ks626, hmm I love fruits, if im hungry and its already late in the evening, I will just eat fruit, I love apple really, no matter I eat apple for the whole day I can stand it. I also love watermelon and mango. But my only challenge is fruits in our country are quite expensive, when I have no money I will just buy banana. If I have a lot of penny I can stand eating fruit the whole night.. you can also make your husband a salad of fruits. happy mylotting..

I think its better to eat fruits than junk foods when your hungry. Fruits also helps in the metabolism that's why we really need to eat it. I made him a fruit salad and we wants to have it every night. I'm happy he liked it.

fruit diet - 2 cups of fruits is enough to maintain good health
hi there, though vegetable and fruits are nutritious and lots of health benefits to much of it will turn to fat, the amount of fruits intake in a day varies from person to person, it depends to your age, gender and physical activity/physique goal but for general speaking a person must consume 2 cups (500 grams) of fruits provided that you have 15-30 minutes workout, the best time to have fruits is during the day, after workout or any cardio activity, avoid fruits at nigth time chances are they will add up to body fats

Really? I usually eat fruits at night. I didn't know fruits could have that kind of effect in the body. Thanks for that information. I might as well research more on that.

Fruits are definitely good for you, but you really need to find ways to get vegetables in your diet, as they're not the same. Root vegetables (carrots, beets, etc.) and leaf vegetables (lettuce, spinach, etc) contain different combinations of vitamins and minerals that your bodies need. Try hiding some in meatloaf or something like that. If you puree them or chop them very fine in something, you can't taste them at all.

I heard root crops are really good because of the fibers they contain. And green leafy vegetables are good because of the folic acid. Thank you for the tip. Thank you for posting. =)
