everything"artificial" does the trick these days

In life today everything is going 'artificial' - so it seems!! You go around and really try to notice what I am saying - there are artificial flowers abound in homes, even artificial lawns, tennis courts & other playing surfaces, artificial tides in swimming pools, artificial sweeteners, artificial ( or rather synthetic)foods, artificial organs ( heart, teeth, eyes etc),artificial climatisers, why- even artificial or cosmetic surgery to bring back the beauty or the figure or facial/physical looks one desires.
And from very early times we know of the 'artificial ' or fake smiles too.
One day may be even artificial humans to replace even parents, friends & I think they way the robots are being developed it will one day lead to that!!!
Days of natural things are fast vanishing.
Having said that, I still feel that the 'natural' beats the 'artificial' any day.
What do you feel?
By the way what else 'artificial' existing things can you think of - ? let me know

Hi Udayrao,
I agree that some artificial stuff is bad, especially when its human. Fake smiles, fake friendships, etc. But some artificial stuff are great. Think of the artificial heart, it saves lives. So Im for anything artificial when it comes to medicine.
Where I draw the line is when it comes to food. I dont want anything artificial in my food and I sure hope our Governments will make sure it doesnt happen.
As for artificial friends "robots" I do believe its already happened. I think in Japan, they have artificial pets for lonely people. I dont think it can do any harm. If it can make some people happy......why not?
Im waiting on an artificial "robot" maid who can cook. Now that would be great!!
