Is there any incident in your life you would like to forget or erase permanently out of your life and memory? I have one - I had seen a man being stabbed to death when I was very young and the victim was just by my side on the road ( though that stabber was caught immediately) - and for many years later I had the fear of seeing blood- no matter how I try to get rid of that incident I can still vividly visualise that even after a passage of 50 years- of course over the years I got rid of the fear of blood - but even then..... Do you have any incident that you would like to get rid of - may be fear or some embarrassing incident? and whether you would like to share?

I like to forget what has happened to my family before the end of the year 2009. This is about my father being part of the brawl. My father suffered very severely and I thought he will die. and no one did help help us in time that we needed someone to be there for us. I want to erase that because I can't move on. For everyday of my life now I am scared that I will be hearing something about my family. It is hard when your family is your problem because some people get their strength in their family, if family is broken you will be weak. I want to erase that to fully recover from it, to move on and to forgive all that had hurted us. I wish that thing did not happened so that our New Year Celebration became happy but it did not. That event leave us into feeling of agony and hopeless. Why there are such thing that will happen to us that make us weak.

Yes it is very problematic with a situation lime you were in - especially when the family name is at stake - and the only thing you can hope is that people( against your family) will stop talking bad about you ; maybe if you were to relocate to another place or city, if possible, would help this to get over with much faster, that is only my suggestion or feeling. I am saying this as from your posting I understand that your family members have gone their own different ways and relocating I feel will take care of this as you will find new friends and a new life altogether.

Okay so the one I would really want to forget is being molested at age 8, raped at age 19. I really don't want to get into either one so I have one more that I can describe for everyone. I always go to Florida once a year in February. Me, my mother, and my grandparents were traveling to stay at a resort for the weekend. On the highway which was 4 lanes, we were next to the slow lane and had a couple cars in front of us and then a big tractor trailer truck in front of the other cars. All of a sudden this little white car came up the side of us and crossed over in front of us. The white car stayed there for a couple of minutes. The car then went into the slow lane and was going to try and pass the tractor trailer. The little white car was about half way up the side of the truck when the truck started to turn into the lane the little white car was in. The little car had no where to go! It happened so quick! The tractor trailer didn't see the little car and the trucks trailer went right over the top with the back wheels of the little white car. I closed my eyes, when I opened them the truck and car were way off the road. The little white car was flat like a pancake, it was now stained red! I had to close my eyes again and shake my head a couple times to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing. It was the same scene when I opened them again. I saw the truck driver run over to the car and that was the last thing I was able to see before the wreck was out of view. Now I am afraid to pass tractor trailers when I am on the highway. Some times I won't. I will stay behind them until I turn off or they do at an exit. I have many incidents that I would like to forget and some I can push so far back in my mind that I do kind of forget but they will always be there.

Its very difficult to get over these incidents - I think the only way is to let them fade off the memory with passage of time.

Well there are some incidents that I would soon forget. Some mistakes that I made when I was younger. When I look at them, I am appalled at some of the mistakes that I am make. Still, they were valuable learning experiences of what not to do in life. In the end, they are not the most pleasant memories in the world, but nothing too traumatic. Just things that make me wonder what I was thinking.

I think everyone makes mistakes and much later you feel that was really stupid of you to do that, but many times the same thing is repeated, as they say it is like a dog's tail!!!!

Yes, although it's not too major like your experience. I would like to forget the day my boyfriend almost forgot to pick me up because he meet up with his ex-flame. I've waited so long in the train station and he almost didn't show up. I didn't knew about his whereabouts at first, I found out in an email later that they've meet up and he expressed his "regret" of not being with her now. I'm fairly young, and this was my first real heartbreak, so it's an experience I really wanted to forget.

the way you describe the incident you where talking about and the idea that you have fear of seeing blood. I'm not sure but i think they called it hemophobia. a fear to blood.. yep, guess your undergoing to a trauma to blood. anyway, that something i would like to forget forever is some of my memories during my elementary years in school. well, because I'm just like some kids who gets bully every time of their life in school without doing anything. I been called for many names because of my fuzzy hair those days.. and many frustrating incident had happened during those days. and when i think about those memories it decreases my self esteem. so i really want to forget it forever. well, right now i'm in college, and about my fuzzy hair. haha. it's totally cool right now.. i get it rebound now. and many things change in me. some people will always say that i'm one example of a ugly duckling. hehe. maybe i'm just really a late bloomer.

I have things I would like to forget but sadly certain things will always pop back in your mind to haunt you. The main thing I would like to forget is bad memories of something somebody did to me.

It's uneasy to forget one thing.Especial it is in your heart for a long time.I just try to avoid recalling them and I think only in this way I can forget them.Looks like many people want to forget something, and hope u feel better...
