Problem posting links with the New myLot

I think I heard a lot of people still complaining about posting links. Some says links still screwed up when they post one. So, for those who are fond of posting relative links, here's what you should do.
URL is the virtual address of every site. You can see the address at the top of your browser, usually below the menu bar. The address bar contains the virtual address of the site you are viewing and it always starts with http, followed by a colon and two slashes. It will be followed by www dot nameofsite dot com. So it will look like this:
http://www.mylot.com (this link will not work properly)
To make the link work properly, you have to post the address without the http:// and should only start with www.
www.mylot.com (this should work properly now)
So, do you still have problems posting links?
Posting referral links are still not allowed with the New myLot so be careful to post yours here, as they will get removed immediately by mylot admin.

Thanks for this information. I must check whether it affects links posted before the update. It would be a shame if those posts have been reparsed because sometimes older discussions depend on links working.

I just checked with a link I posted 9 months ago. It has re-parsed it and now it doesn't work (unless it's copied and pasted and the extra http:// removed!

some links posted before the new mylot went on might not work. remember the colon thing followed by the link? we have posted links before with colon followed by a space and the http and so on. they won't work with the new mylot.

Hi Neil,
This is the first post I have posted on the new face of myLot so am going to find out what the problems are I guess.yet thanks for the info, will have to try and remember everything you wrote if needed..thanks LoLo

good morning littleowl... yes, you really have to find out for yourself, how more exciting and more enjoyable the new mylot is. i'll tell, you won't miss a thing and your fingers will really get tired typing.

Hi Neil thanks for that..it looks really enjoyable but am having one prob', tried to get to play a game and it wont let me in do you know what I have to do to play them..the game comes up but asks for your membership sign in I did but it just won't accept me...just wondered if you knew what to do on that one...LoLo

sorry about that, littleowl. so far, i haven't explore with the games section. i am still with the normal posting area so i can't help you with this. actually, i wanted to see what games will give us as alice told in her posts, we could also earn from it. i hope, alice the admin will see this post of yours so she can tell us what to do and help us.

we'll be more aware now with the release of the new mylot and once we encounter problems, let's try to get the attention of the admin, especially, GoAskAlice.

I am not really very fond of posting links so I've not find any been having problems with posting links. I only placed a link in my profile for my website and so far I did not encounter any problem. I did just the same as you instructed. But for those who are having problems, I think your post will be of big help.
