I don't really like compliment when i do something. I prefer to get some critics, because the compliment always makes me feel satisfied easily, and sometimes, it decrease my performance. I don't know why. But if people around me criticize, it motivate me to always do the best in everything. So for me, compliment is not good for my performance. How about you???

I don't expect compliments in all that i do but if somebody will appreciate my effort i would sincerely extend my gratitude ..Critics and compliments inspires me to make the best of it .. I don't mind will it be a critics or compliments as long as i know Im happy doing things and i don't expect i can please everybody for what i did, still i will strive for myself and not for other.. Thank you and Happy lotting!God bless.

hi! yes, i like to get compliments for the job I have done, and when I get some I feel really great, because I know I have really helped someone or have done something really good, when I am getting a compliment. Well, i don't get compliments every day, but at least once a week i get some and it makes my day really nice!!!

Me personally it needs to be a combination of both or else I kind of brush it off. For example: My boss says " Hey good work on that project, you might want to work on *insert issue here* but otherwise that turned out great." I would respond much better to that praise/suggestion than to "Well I think you need to work on *insert issue here*" Plus the occasional "nice work" is good to get every once in a while as well. Thanks for posting

I love to get compliments but it won't matter if I get it or not. I sometimes do things for myself that help out other people. THen I get compliments. It really don't matter. I also agree that it makes you feel satisfied and decrease your performance. But it only happens once in a blue moon. Compliments are almost always a positive thing.

Getting a compliment is an extremely nice thing to get. Granted, I do not need them to function. However, getting it does encourage me to go on. It does tell me that I did something right. It inspires confidence and hope within me. Gaining a compliment just gives that warm and fuzzy feeling of accomplishment inside me. At the very least, it tells me that I am on the right track. However, like I said, it is not something that I need. It is appreciated. Also, I do agree about criticism. That is needed just as much as compliments. As much as I like to be praised if I am like the right track, I would also like to be told if I am on the wrong track. Getting both can establish a balance and can help us view performances from a variety of angles, both good and bad.
