Hows the snow storm in your area?

I'm thankful that it is not so bad in our place. We seldom have deep snow in NC during winter. We usually have 2-3 inches but last week we had the thicker snow that I ever see since I first came here. Until now, our yard is still messy. People in this area are not used to driving in deep snow and I've seen lots of cars turned upside down in the side of the road. I even witness one that almost hit the post while I pick up our mail in the mailbox. SCARY!!!What about you? Well, people from the tropics maybe have no experience to share about snow.

I live in Pensacola, Florida, so we are not likely to get much snow, but it is cold and raining here. It is really messy out there for sure, and I am glad that I have a job working inside. I don't think there is a whole lot of outdoor work going on out there right now, and I cannot afford to miss work due to the weather. I thank God all the time that I work indoors, and that I can go to work without having to worry about things like the weather too much...

Oh!! good for you. I heard that Florida don't get too much snow during winter like NC too but it is still very cold and messy when it rains. How I wish I can have a job like you do, you are just working in your house? I would love to do that too so that I can be fine when there is Storm out there. I heard that people in Oklahoma suffered from brown out for a long period of time. And some of them evacuate to a place where there is heat so that they will not be frozen from the cold. That's worst thing.

No. I work in a restaurant, but I would LOVE to have a job that I could work from home and not have to worry about going out into this weather at all. It would also be nice, because I wouldn't have to drive to work every day, which would save me money in gas and reduce the wear and tear on my truck. Being home with the dogs all day would be cool too LOL

Oh I got what you mean. Your work is inside work not like other people who are working outside,, where they will be expose to cold. I have seen some people bringing placard of certain business like TAX, Jewelry store, etc, standing in the side of the road raising their placards to passers by. That is too tough work during cold season.

Delaware snow - Here is a picture of the circle near my parents house. You can see how much snow has piled up, some of which the snow plow pushed up along the circle. It has been a record year for snowfall in northern Delaware and winter is not even over yet. It will take a while for this snow to melt.
I live in Delaware and we have had three monster snowstorms already this winter. Two of them happened last week and we are still digging ourselves out of the snow. It has been unbelievable how much snow we have had this winter and have broken records and winter is not even over yet. We might get a little bit of snow tonight into tomorrow but nothing major. It is going to take a while for all this snow to melt away. States further south are getting snow that they usually do not get often. I am so ready for winter to be over with.
