Guacamole

I love guacamole! I love it prepared at home with fresh avacados and onions and tomatoes and cilantro and a squeeze of lime and don't forget the salt. How do you prefer yours? Made at home or at a restaraunt? I think I have only had one bad experience with guacamole at a restaraunt one time it was really runny and way too much salt but other than that one time it has all been very good.

The first and the last time I have eaten a guacamole is 10 years ago. Can't believe that ten years had pass already. My American friend came and introduce us with some American food or dish that they usually do at home. One that she made was a guacamole and the other is cheese cake. I both love it. I have eaten more cheesecakes from then though but haven't eaten any guacamole since then too. Happy for you that you are enjoying some. Happy mylotting.

Guacamole is not an american food. It is a food that americans imported from Mexico. The word guacamole comes from two nahuatl words that mean avocado sauce. If you like it and have avocadoes around, it`s very easy to make

I just found this old post about guacamole you made, J.A. You forgot the serano chiles in your recipe. Do you like your guacamole hot? I could not eat it if it weren`r sizzling hot

Yes I love to add the serrano peppers I love things hot too.

I too love me a nice dollop of guacamole, especially with some nachos or tacos
I don't make mine from scratch because my culinary skills are embarassing, so I usually just buy it pre-prepared from a store.

I learned to make it from scratch along time ago that is one of the things I can make after many times of practice and not getting it right. Other things I have a very difficult time making but I guess the more you keep trying you will finally get it.
