Amazon Account Hacked

So my Amazon account got hacked. I couldn't log in suddenly, and it didn't recognize my email, so I tried signing up again with the same email I used for my first account and realized, that my email was completely removed from the system and I was able to sign up with it like it was the first time. I immediately called Amazon Customer Service. No waiting on hold, my call was taken quickly and there was no waiting. The representative was very professional and figured out what had happened. Whoever hacked my account ordered a digital download and a video game to my address which I had to send back due to it being a fraud charge. The representative immediately credited me for the digital download and submitted an investigation regarding my account. I had mostly credits from gift cards that was what was spent and luckily the card that was on file at Amazon was a canceled one. So I am only down a little bit of money, but I have to give kudos to Amazon because they got my account back and most of my money returned. Be careful with your Amazon account. Change your email and password frequently.
