What is your favorite match from Wrestle Mania 1?

For being the first ever wrestlemania is wasnt that memorable. But yeah the main event was the best I remember alot out outside ring action and I loved piper even when he was Heel.

Yeah, Wrestlemania 1 was not one of the better efforts. It was the first time, so they had not quite gotten the formula down as of yet. I would have to agree with the main event. That just seemed to be the best match of evening but it was still only average. I think it was not until about Wrestlemania III when they started getting their act together. The first two had a lot of rubbish and III, finally they figured out this Wrestlemania thing. Of course, it was successful at the time, but these days, it does not hold up at all when looking at it under a modern eye. Hogan/Mr. T against Piper/Mr. Wonderful was the best. I think I remember Ricky Steamboat and Matt Bourne being the second best, a perfectly acceptable but not all that exciting match.
