What is your view on marijuana?

So many people these days smoke marijuana. They dont even think of it as a drug. I dont smoke. I tried it when I was younger, in highschool. It was just because it was there. I didnt ever go looking to do it. Eventually I just stopped doing it even with friends. I must admit though half of my family are potheads. Honestly I dont understand it. When I worked at a store I sold so many of those blunt wraps, papers, and phillie cigars that it was unbelievable. The smell is horrible. It makes you laugh at nothing and you eat like crazy. Things you would think people wouldnt want to do. Now they have passed laws in my state that if you're caught with reasonable amounts you dont get in trouble. You just get fined. What's your opinion? Should it be illegal? Do you indulge?

I was in a car wreck over 10 years ago. I stopped at the traffic light. The semi driver in back of me never stopped and was doing over 90mph when he ran over my car. He was high on pot!!!! I would never want to see it legalized and anyone who thinks they are in control when they use it are only fooling themselfs and putting the rest of us in danger. I was blessed by God and by his miracles to be alive. MY car was completly destroyed, so bad that the police asked "what kind of car were you driving?"

Hey Christmas! Im sorry you had to go thru that especially at the hands of someone under the influence. Its sad to say this but I bet the driver of the semi didnt see the fact that he was high on pot as an impairment. Well it is! More people need to see that not everyone reacts the same under the influence. Somebody could die from smoking a joint. It may not even be the person indulging. It could be an innocent victim like you were. You should share your story with anyone who will listen. I am so glad that you are okay. Happy MyLotting my friend dl

Thank you. Yes we do share the story with anyone who will listen. My daughter and month old granddaughter were suppose to be with me. last minute change of plans, (blessings from God). I was injured, a broken lower right rib that is healed but to this day if I overwork my side hurts. I had 13 stitches in my ear. And to many bruises to count. They were so deep that they still ache at times. But I was fortunate...I walked away. A Miracle alone. The semi driver told the police I stoped to fast!.. but the light was red, and there were 3 other vehicles in front of me, 2 semi's and a pickup. The pickup and 1 semi were also totalled out due to the impact. Make's you wonder about these people that say "smoking pot doesn't hurt anyone!".... thank you for your question, it gives me a chance to tell my story and if it would change one persons' view that one person can make a difference...in my case it only took one and look at the damage it did. (wish I knew how to do pictures to attach to this!)

let me put it this way, anything that causes bad things should be prohibited.

I don't indulge because I think it makes people nonproductive. However, IMHO it should be legal. Tax dollars could be better spent stopping terrorism.

I am not for it nor against it. I don't have a problem with people that do it-it's their choice. I did it once in HS and I don't know what was in it-but I was like a lifeless blob on the floor and everything was echoing and sounding far away and strange..I decided after that to not bother with it again-I thought I was dying! I didn't get hungry or giddy...wonder what I was really smoking there? That's the scary part! Thanks for sharing-Interesting about that law you mentioned in your state.

I tried mari juana when i was in high school out of curiosity and to experience how to feel high. Most of my friends even say that it would even increase my appetite. I experienced feeling lightheaded, i don't know if that's what they call "high" already but i never experienced any changes in my appetite. One of the things i don't like about mari juana is the burning sensation in my eyes whenever i use it.

I don't agree for that simple punishment implied on this kind of abusiveness. Although is says that it was used for medicinal purposes but there must be a limit of distributing it. It sounds too crazy that you can even see it on the street with every walks of life trying to destroy the good society. It's sounds too dangerous that finding way making it legalized will just worsen the entire community. The government should imply something more justifiable on this issue to avoid any futuristic worst scenario that will ruin the new ages. They must do something to stop using and distributing it illegally. What's happening now is too scary and pretty bad. What do you expect in the days more to come if this tolerance keep going?

Nope dont do it. BUt I know lots that do and I see nothing to it. just a big waste of money and getting into trouble with jail and fines. Nope I dont think it should be legal BUT if it was then the dealers would not get paid for it like the do now.

Hi dloveli, I know longer smoke it but I used to. I don't see anything wrong with it other than it is illegal. I think it should be legal. I know plenty of very well respected and responsible people who smoke it. You'd be surprised. It isn't as bad as someone getting drunk all the time. People who smoke don't usually get argumentive and violent from getting high. I really don't understand why it hasn't been legalized yet.

I do not smoke. But whatever it is , it is an unnecessary expenditure. This can not be controlled by any law. Unless the smokers realizes that it is not necessary, no one can control them.
