when i was young i used to celebrate this at my home with my friends inviting them at my home. but now it seems to be childish and we friends do the parties outside. what you think what your experiences are.

Last year I celebrated my birthday for a month!! hahah..We'll I always go drinking with my boardmates. Get out of town,go out a lot..On my D day I only had 6 visitors which are my closest. then we kept drinking the whole night. The next day went swimming. It was really fun... For this year I really don't know yet. I decided to stop partying and drinking. I got tired of it. Now I busy myself myLotting.. :)

a lot depends on where iam as im way past wanting to celebrate it except the cake and ice cream part if my kids are around they celebrate for/with me, but i really dont make a deal out of it. my son here i live with now, celebrates with me from here on. we go out to eat and buy for each other because his BD is the day after mine, so i got a great present for my 17th birthday.

Now that I am older, I definitely don't make a big deal out of my birthday. I will have a gift for my birthday and we may go out to eat, but I don't have birthday parties like I used to do when I was a child. This year is my thirtieth birthday, but I'm not planning on having any kind of an extravagent celebration because I feel like I've reached the point in my life that it doesn't really make that much of a difference anymore.

...Hi 1anurag1, I stopped celebrating my birthday many years ago. I have a saying, it's not the age it's the stage. It's where you are in life and where you want to go, also how you plan to get there. I used to love to have surprise parties for my friends and relatives. I loved to make people smile. I didn't like surprise parties for myself ever. Take it easy.

It seems like everything was made such a big deal back when we were young. But now everything seems so like you said it "childish". In my point of view its just another year older. That's it.

Of course I celebrate my birthday I don't see the point in wasting such a special occasion, when you could be out celebrating with family and friends.

I used to celebrate evry singe b-day! IT was a MUST be! But now it's too complicated. In now days I don't celebrate my birthday, and if there is something I just have a dinner with close friends.
