I was wanting a hamburger yesterday! So i stopped by and grabbed one! I had run some extra miles too, that's probably why I was so hungry! Well, this morning my joints were driving me crazy! I ran a little further, but it shouldn't be having that kind of effect on my joints. My muscles maybe... but not the joints! Do you think it was the red meat (which I rarely ever eat!)???

Hi,
Red meat is not terrible. Infact, nothing is, if eaten in normal quantities. And the most healthy products can be poison if you overeat.
Probably you had a running overdose.
I always wonder, by the way, what kind of meat does a hamburger have. I don“t dare eat boughten hamburgers. I grind my own meat, make the hamburgers and put them one by one in small plastic bags and save them for a rainy day.
Take care!

Yeah, this was a Sonic hamburger, so I gotta blame it on that one. Because once I got out running I worked most of it all out! If it had simply been too much running, it would have gotten worse I would think!I think organic is probably okay, but it's hard to find!

I really don't think it was the red meat. If it was, your digestive system would be more affected than your joints. It may be due to a number of factors. For instance, do you regularly jog and do you stretch before doing so? Stretching before exercise strengthens the tendons and ligaments that reinforce joint stability.
Could it be possible that out of guilt you may have inadverdently pushed yourself too much? Don't feel that way because the human body is designed to deal with once-in-a-while indulgences.

Perhaps true. I do not stretch, but I did the easy walk/run first and then did a regular jog. So I should have been warmed up. I played some football yesterday afternoon and most of the soreness worked out!

It probably wasn't the meat itself - red meat is not poison - but it could have been the residual pesticides, herbicides and/or antibiotics and hormones most meat is loaded with any more. It's not just red meat that has them, but different types of hormones and residual poisons are used for different animals.
Have you tried organic beef or bison?

I stay away from red meats right now. I know it's all the additional junk that gets added in! I have tried organic beef. I don't have the means to cook right now so I don't eat it much anyway! I prefer a vegetarian diet, it's just difficult to do on the go!

I almost never eat red meat either - I eat it approximately 3 times per year, if that.
I enjoyed a delicious hamburger accompanied by French fries 2 days ago!
It was fantastic!
I also feel like I have sinned. :(
I do not think that the red meat you ate caused your muscle pain.
You did say that you ran extra miles before you had your hamburger.
Therefore I am thinking that perhaps the extra miles you ran was responsible for your muscles aching!
Best wishes!
