Is anyone thinking about going somewhere with their sweetheart for Valentine's Day? Sadly, I am staying home, but maybe I'll do something romantic with my valentine, even though I am not that romantic of a person. Here is a list for those who really want to sweep there special someone off their feet for this valentine's day: 1) Buenos Aires, Argentina. The home of the Tango. Need I say more? 2)Bora, Bora, South Pacific Islands. Considered by many one of the most beautiful islands in the world. 3)Dubrovnik, Croatia. Said to be a true heaven on earth. 4)Halong Bay, Vietnam. The name means where the dragon descends into the sea. That should give you a clue about this romantic getaway. 5) Nevis, Caribbean Islands. A quiet and small patch of land located on the Caribbean. The birthplace of Alexander Hamilton. That was an interesting fact, wasn't it? 6) Paris. The list wouldn't be complete without it. No need to elaborate here, I think. 7) Quebec City. French speaking inhabitants. Horse drawn carriages. Colonial architecture. I think your partner will be pleased, don't you? 8) Santa Barbara, California. Wineries and elaborate spas will get anyone in the romantic mood. 9)Santorini, Greece. Considered one of the most visually stunning places in Greece. Volcanic beaches. Great Sunsets. Breathtaking cliffs. Etc, etc, etc.... 10) Venice, Italy. One of the most romantic cities in the world. The boat rides down the canal streets, the rower singing beautiful Italian melodies, ahhhhh someone by me a ticket right now! Now, I never said any of these places were going to be a cheap getaway, but come on, couldn't you fork over the extra dough for your loved one? Or maybe your just a cheapskate like me.

Hi! I will be at home with my cousin adn his girlfriend and we will celebrate the New Lunar year, because we don't celebrate the Valentine's day, becaues of that, that we are Orthodoxes and it is a Catholic holiday!

Very interesting. I had no idea that Valentine's Day was a religious holiday. I thought it was just a regular holiday like Halloween or Thanksgiving. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the New Lunar Year and had fun with your cousin and girlfriend.

That is quiet a exhaustive list and I really wish I could also go. My hubby does not beleive is going out for specific days. He is the type who loves to celebrate Valentine whenever he feels like and he really makes it special.

As long as he makes it special and you enjoy it, then that is what counts. Still, every now and then it would be nice to get away to some romantic location, don't you think? So, don't let him off the hook just yet. I would say a nice vacation every 2 to 5 years sounds about right, especially if it is done during Valentine's.
