Is there anyone here that travels around the US in an RV? We have just bought our first one, a 25 foot class C and are in the process of getting it ready to travel. Anyone have hints or tips they would like to share with us? Suggestions on "must see" places would be helpful also.

It is my dream to own a motor home one day in the future. I often walk past a house where an American RV is parked in the drive. It looks very large and is the same size as a mobile library van. You might be able to drive around California to see the beautiful coastline between Los Angeles and San Francisco. There are some stunning looking national parks like Lake Tahoe and the Grand Canyon. You could pop up to Canada to see the Rocky Mountains. I hope that you have some wonderful exploring in your new motor home.

Thanks maximax, I never thought to consider the CA coastline. Lake Tahoe is beautiful and there is a town not far from Reno that I have been to but for the life of me can't remember the name of it. I just remember it had something to do with a mine and lots of old buildings :). How was that for vague?

I am sure that you will be able to visit the town near to Reno and enjoy its charm again. If you remember its name please tell me. I would advise you to see some or Oregon because I have seen some beautiful pictures of it. I wish you some very happy adventures k15682.

Hay, that is what is so great about a motor home, just go were you feel that day. Yes, your kids will phone to check in with you, and wish they were with you. Boy, maybe they can go along with you some time. I think a trip to the Grand Canion would be great. But then, there are so many places to see and enjoy, where to start? Yep, just sit at the end of your drive way and the big question--- turn left, or turn right? Well, let us know were your heart takes you. Enjoy.

Thank you Kmargieann! I am really excited to begin this part of my life. I have done the raising and worrying about children and now it's my time. Will miss the kids and grandkids terribly and expect my phone will ring nonstop.
