I don't think that is good to wear headphones all night long- I read somewhere that too much use can damage the ear & its tissues and leading to ear and even brain damage - it may have something to do with the constant hitting of sound waves on the fragile ear drum tissues.

Guess what. I couldnt fight the urge to put them on last night, and as luck would have it, I sat on them and broke an ear piece off. I will have to do without for a bit. Maybe i can break the habit now.

according to the studies made wearing headphones lessen the effect of the radiation made by cellphones. so it means yes it still can affect your brains and ears. my question for you is why would you wear earphones all night long?

I can't sleep with earphones or headphones, so if there is risk I won't know. I would imagine there is certain ear discomfort, on the surface. but other than that, I don't think there is more serious problem.

Maybe it depends on the type of headphones You're using..I have a set of "closed ear" style phones that make my ears sweaty after a while,so tend not to use them for long periods of time..and the "In Ear" Ipod types of bud earphones tend to get uncomfortable after a while, too! Having the volume on them up too high will make your ears ring and are claimed to cause damage to your hearing over time.Read the instructions that come with the ones you buy and follow the advice on usage .

You come across like a tin foil person to me. If you don't put the volume too high nothings going to happen. Cell phones aren't dangerous to your brains either. It's just nonsense gossiped by people to scare others off.

How did you know i have tin foil covering my whole house?? LOL Actually, my cousin started getting headaches and went to a dr and they told him he had brain cancer and the doctor told him, definatly, it was caused by his heavy use of cellular phone. :( Please dont use your phones all the time. My cousin is now fighting for his life.

of course it will g=hurt your ears. Our ear also need rest. Our ears can tolerate a certain level of sound. The louder, the more it will harm you. They also say that it is not good when you use your headphone when you are about to sleep. It is not harmful to use them but on a tolerable and acceptable level.
