I think you should be professional about it and give notice that your leaving hand in your resignation. Do not mention problems you had unless your asked about them as this way you are likely to get a reference from them in the future. If you just walk out they will not give you a reference.

Hi I suggest that you resign before he goes. But also tell him that you will wait until his back from his trip. In the mean time you look out for another job and when he's back your resignation is set and you start at your new job.

hi chubby, first of all think about is your reason valid to resign, ask yourself if you really love you job, Please also take note when you are working really you experience difficulties. its not your working and you always feel comfortable. You have to think also if you resign what will you do or are you accepted already for anther job, YOu have to think many times as possible before you decide. Ask importantly do you love what you are doing right now in you job. Because if you dont enjoy and does not love what you are doing dont waste your time RESIGN. NO pain no gain. Dont wish working is easier wish it is better because you learn so many things when it is not easy.. Cheers =d09:)

I think that all bosses are in the job to manage their position and employees, so do not think much about it. Think about your personnel things which will be with you and bosses are not going to be with you when recession is back. They will kick out anyone who will benefit them in any way. It does not matter how long we serve a company, they are paying us for the work we do for them and the day when they do not have work for us, will not pay. It is a give and take relationship. Till the time you give your service, they will give you money. Every Boss has a Boos and that is the reason they act like this. Move on friend :)

I would not suggest you to resign at this time. It is recession and the new job that you might try after resignation may not be up to the mark. Wait for some time, let this recession move away and wait for the green time to appear and jump. Well at tht time even your boss might get an alternative for you. Now even he might suffer for your absence.

i think if you dont like the job or you cant withstand the situation any more and you decide to quit the job you can tell that you are going to resign to your boss itself . why do you have to phone him and tell this . further your telling that you are leaving because of the torture . if you feel that there will be no torture if your boss is not in town then you may wait for some time wait that whether what you think is right and then decide on the decision .
