Its only the first week and I really think the test will be when we have the top 24 or 12. I think with Hollywood week its really boring. The best is when we no top 12. So far so good though. I think she will be really good with her advise a and very funny at times.

I like group week. It is fun to see the groups trying to get along. I like to see the top 12, too. It is easier to keep track of the people on the show. With so many now, I can't remember who got eliminated.

I'll always be interesting in the audition rounds, followed by the others like top 24 and 12 as Lelin has mentioned. I'm looking at Ellen, snippets of her giving remarks and she's pretty much on the ball. She knows what she's talking about and there are quite a few moments that she didn't go with what Simon thinks at all, which makes Kara happy. LOL. Not a bad entertainment, if you ask me. I think she's giving her all to the table, and I applaud Ellen definitely for that. She's trying to be a good judge and is succeeding.

I think she's great!! she really has an opinion that could be great for contestants. Because she LOVES music, and she's a fan of the show, she's a fan of the music industry and musical skills so I think she's a great judge. She's not giving a "Professional" opinion. Because in the end, the professional opinion doesn't really matter, right? It's all about the fanbase! And ellen is the "fan" judge! To get a positive response from her gives you more hope than hearing a positive response from any of the other judges because if you`ve impressed her. You probably impressed other fans that will decide if you stay or go in the end.

I love her show too. From the first week on Idol, I say Ellen is doing great on the show. I admit I was skeptical after her stint as a guest judge of So You THink You Can Dan. On Idol, though, she makes good points- some that were on my mind as well- and is taking this seriously without losing her charm and spunk.

I love Ellen Degeneres - I think she's witty and amiable. But I don't think she can fully replace Simon unless she creates a new image for herself as a certifiable judge. Simon created his image by being brazen, brutally honest, and strictly professional (most times). Ellen won't be able to become that image. She need to create an image of her own to replace Simon's - she'll need to prove herself.

I don't watch American Idol although during the Carrie Underwood season I did catch quite a few episodes. I liked Paula because of how she was, probably for the reasons she got made fun of. But she did know music. From everything I hear, Ellen did quite a good job. I like her as a personality, but I imagine something will always be missing without Paula. Because Kara is, well, I'll refrain from saying anything about her...I would love it if Ellen stayed, Kara left, and Paula came back.
