So I really hate the natural color of my hair, but whenever I try to dye it it fades and comes out really fast. What can I do? I've tried so many different types of dye. I don't think that the problem is with the dye. I think that my hair is the problem. Have any of you had this problem? And if you have did you find a solution? Thanks.

I found this site and it had alot of information on it that might help..also from my own experience I learned not to dye my hair within 24 hours of dying it and not to wash it for 72 hours after I can get about 8 weeks out of my hair dye before it starts fading really. It is best to use shampoos formulated to help keep the dye in longer and Garnier Fructis is the best..I have used..and it worked great but I also used the hair color of that brand also..roasted coffee..and also it is best not to wash your hair every single day too. every other day usually is good. Well, here is the link hope it helps you with some of the problems you been having with your hair

I dye my hair once a month with permanent hair colour and by the fourth week I can see it beginning to fade. I have very long hair and I wear it up most of the time. I found that washing my hair just once a week helps considerably because I used to wash it two or three times a week and that did not help the colour at all. Using a shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair is good too. I still don’t like to leave my hair for longer than four weeks or so.

I don't use expensive ones because they don't suit my budget. I use Palmolive Naturals Vibrant Colors shampoo and conditioner. The colour I use is Nice and Easy by Clairol. Good luck with it.

Well I can't tell you much more than mtdewgurl74 did...lol I was going to suggest the same... Use Garnier Fructis, wait 24 hours at least after your last hair wash, and after using don't wash for at least 2 days. Then using products for colored hair for shampooing and styling. I have found it really works well and it's all I use now. It really improves your hair also. If you have dry hair the one with avocado oil works great especially the conditioner...!! The newest one contains bamboo and I haven't tried it yet. I will try it next, however today I am using the box that I already have...so we'll see how it goes...in about 10 weeks.
Good luck I hope it works for you....Let us know.

Ok Thanks for responding. I have always washed my hair the very next day after dying it, so next time I will wait the full 2 days.
