Alex Bilodeau won the gold medal in men's mogul skiing - Canada's first gold medal on home turf or ice. What a great story. He also beats the traitor who was born in Vancouver but chose Australia so he could continue his spam business there.

He was amazing!! And what a tremendous honor for him to be the first!! And how loving he was when he spoke of his brother being his inspiration! I'm an American and in this case, was happy with Bronze!

His brother showed as much support and enthusiasm for him as everyone there at the event. To see a brotherly relationship like that was awesome.

Yes, it was very touching. And it was his whole family. There's been a lot of good stories at these games.

It was joyous to see the response at the medal ceremony. Alex deserves to be on the front of a cereal box.

He did a great job in the moguls. I wanted USA to win the gold in moguls instead of the bronze but we were beating by better competitors in this event.

You won't believe the pressure he was under to bring home the gold. It would have been a huge dagger to the heart if the Vancouver-born Begg-Smith had won. Imagine a native son winning, but winning it for Australia instead of Canada while in Vancouver. Background - Begg-Smith quit the Canadian ski program while a teenager because he decided to pursue an Australian passport along with his brother and his spam business, which has made him a multi-millionaire.

I've seen this event and I was moved. I couldn't believe the pressure, and the relief of winning gold in one's own soil. He would forever be part of Canadian (sports) history. But the real story is his love for his brother. And the inspiration and support he gets from his brother. Hollywood couldn't write a better script than what he does, and what he did. Congratulations!
