are you a good conversationalist!!

hi. i think people who have good conversation skills , manage to make more friends and they acheive sucess faster than compare to others. its not easy to impress others with your talk. people who don't have this skill often left behind or have limited number of friends. speaking about myself, i feel iam quite a boring person. i can't hold people's attention for long time. even though , iam a good listener, i can't continue the conversation for long time..what you say.

Certain topics, I have acceptable enough conversational skills. In fact, there are times where I can talk for quite some time. However, there are many other topics that I am unable to talk about at length. Whether it be something that I have a lack of knowledge about or just do not feel comfortable talking about, I let the other person do the talking. I feel better with them carrying the conversation and if I think I have something worthy to say. I feel that I can listen for a fairly lengthy amount of time, especially if the person is a good talker. However, there is nothing more awkward than two people trying to have a conversation, when neither is comfortable or knowledgeable about the subject at hand.

I think it really depends on who you are speaking with. Of course you cannot please everyone so just be yourself and if you find that others are not interested talking to you it is fine. For as long as you are well versed with topics that everbody knows you are okay. Just observe how others talk to people and get pointers but you do not necessarily need to change who you are to become a good conversationalist.

On few topics I do but not good I feel. I too can't continue for a long time break comes.
