Did you know that your fingernails can tell your state of health? Here are some signs you should look out for. YELLOW nails indicate that you could possibly have a fungal infection or a liver problem. Nails that are BRITTLE AND DRY may signal that you lack calcium in your body. BLUISH nails may be a sign of anemia or lung trouble ( like asthma). ABNORMALLY THICK nails could possibly mean improper blood circulation. Nails which seem to easily chip, peel , and crack might be a sign of an inadequate diet. Unusually square and wide nails may suggest that you have a hormonal disorder. Thin nails could possible mean you lack vitamin B12 in your body.

hi luck, firstly I would like to ask are you a doctor :), well my nails are small and round what can you say about it. Others would say that looking at our nails reflects individual personality. If you have untidy nails means you are so disorganize person and untidy environment. If you have a clean nails you are beautiful and tidy. Cheers :) =d09:)

I agree for some conditions about nail study on health detection but not all. In bluish nails, this is applied not only in blood disorder like anemia, leukemia, and pulmonary disorder like asthma. Anyone can have bluish nail if he is cyanotic, meaning there is no oxygen supplied in his body. It is an automatic symptom for an absolute lack of oxygen in the body. There are people who really have different nail color because of hereditary characteristics they have ancestrally acquired, some are from their lifestyle and environment. It actually depends as long there is a medical proof from the laboratory that suspected to have a disorder in the body. I knew some people who have severe illnesses with healthy nails and no discoloration. Sometimes, there are illnesses that cannot be seen only in nails but detected only inside the body when they are diagnosed medically. However, those you have shared are good key points in general for all people. This will give them an early warning to be aware of their health and give necessary approach for treatment if badly needed. But, these discolorations are helpful for medical diagnosis and references.

Thanks for the healthy tips. So you mean to say, it is always advantageous to leave your nails unpolished, intact with its natural colors, than to decorate it with artificial colorful nail polish?

Yeah in my opinion , it is more safe to leave our nails unpolished and clean to avoid some undesirable diseases , however there are people who likes to color their nails and it's okay as long as they know how to take good care of their health. Thank you for you're response and you're welcome..:)
