Quick Car Help (VW Passat)

V W Passat 2005 - My car. Bad engine light.

On my 2005 VW Passat the engine light came on. I took it to the mechanic and they diagnosed it as the "Connor Valve". I searched Google and nothing came up. I'm not sure I heard it correctly. They claim the part has to be flown in from Canada. This sounds very fishy to me. I didn't leave the car. Anyone ever hear of this part? If not, what do you think the part could be? There are no other symptoms on the car except the engine light came on.
