Mylot:L A very good distraction

I do find it very distracting at times as I do have other things to do, and I just can't seem to tear myself away from mylot long enough to do them. I seem to be forgetting to do some of the ptc sites I am a member of becasue of mylot, and I don't know if that is good or bad, but I guess it is all how you look at it. 
I fing it so distracting that I forget what time it is, and all of a sudden it is late and I need to go to bed as I get tired and fall asleep. I really don't want to be anywhere else though, as mylot is just to nice a community to leave just for a second. Now, there are times that I can't be in hee for one reason or another, but when I do get in here, I just post and post, and forget the time and sometimes I forget to eat until my stomach startes growling. 
I do enjoy my time in here though that I hope to be here for years to come. Take care everyone, and happy mylotting.

Believe me I can't forget that I have a life and family, as my son won't let me forget that. Whenever the grandkids get sick, grandma has to babysit. I had to babysit today as a matter of fact as they wers home from school for president;s day. I don't mind though as I love the grandkids, but I also like being home and mylotting too. Now, I have a lot of making up to do since I was gone part of the day, but I will get there. I will be able to be home all day tomoorow, so life is good, and so is mylot. I'm so glad to read your post! I'm new here and just starting to explore everything and can SOOOOOO see why it would get so distracting! Seems like really great community so far, which is exactly what I need to fill in the gaps between other things or while I'm waiting for a call or something. :D I'm really excited now since I read this!

Welcome to mylot. I hope you find oour time here very enjoyable. I am sure you will, and you won't be disappointed. It is a gret place to share our ideas with others, and learn as well. It is very distracting as I just don't get the sites and things done that I need to get done. I will get to them though, as I jsut have to get motivated enough to pull myself away from here. It is just so hard to do so, as I really love it here and I am glad I am a part of it. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I love that it's so distracting! Today I'm cleaning house and because of back issue, I have to take frequent breaks and MyLot is filling in the gaps quite nicely!!!

I wish you a lot of luck with your packing and moving. I have been ther enough myself so I know what it is all about. Mylot is a good place to be when we can make timefor it, but like you, I have things to do at times too, so I don't always get to be in here all the time, but while I am here, I find it to be a very good distraction, as it holds me here in jy seat so to speak, and I just don't want to leave. I think others are finding it that way too. It is jsut so hard to tear myself away to do thing that need to be done, as I am having so much fun in here and I am enjoying myself immensely. that is what mylot is alla bout is just being able to enjoy our ourselves. Mylot sure can get addicting and it is definately something that you can get into for hours on end. It tends to be quite time consuming and there is always something interesting to read and post on. I do not like to do too much else either on the internet besides mylot. Mylot just seems to grab and hold my attention for hours on end and it is a nice place to be.

You are so right that it is a nice place to be, and sometimes I will find myself sitting here for hours and neglecting the other sites I need to do, and I do forget to eat, as the time just seems to slip on by without me even noticing it. I do have to rry manage my time better so I don't forget to do the other sites, and forget to eat as well. Mulot is a very nice distraction though, and I intend to stay here for however long I can. Well besides therapy which is another term I'll call it, it can be distracting. I find myself just eager to find discussions and my husband thinks I'm chatting online when I tell him I'm just joining discussions which I feel are interesting. He looked a couple of times and then decided that it was ok. I guess I have been spending so much time on mylot I forgot about him.

It is easy to spend more time in here than you wanted, but it is addicting and you can get easily distracted. I know I do, and I don't get things done, but then I really don't have all that much to do anyway. I live alone since I am divorced, so I don't have to worry about anyone else here, however, I do have to do things like babysit for my son when necessary, and that is when I am not here and I miss it like crazy. I am a good one for posting and forgettting to eat. I need to stop that, but it seems like a habit and hard to break. I just find it hard to tear myself away from here long enough to eat and get the sites done that I need to do, and do other things as well. I am not good at time management and I took that in school too. I will just have to try to manage my time a little better so it isn't as much of a distracton. I got to know MyLot way back sometime in November last year...
But since I got to know from a client I never took it seriously, come January 2010, I just tried posting my first discussion,and Powwwwwwwwww.... I really started a new addiction, MyLot addiction that no words could ever describe...

Welcome to myloe! I am so glad that you are enjoying yourself in here. It really is addicting that is for sure, much more than I ever thought it would. What I end up doing is just staying in here pretty much, and not doing what I need to do. I get so diestracted, that I forget to eat, as the time really goes fast, and by the time I realize I hadn't eaten, it is way to late to eat, so there goes a day when I didn't eat. That is why I say that mylot is a distraction, and it affects others the same way. I will just have to manage my time a little better so I don't forget to eat when I am supposed to. I have just returned to MyLot after a break away. I missed spending time here but also realised that real life has to take precedence sometimes. I do find myself spending hours at a time on here again and love it.

hi rosekiss my roomie says you sure do like that computer, and I had to laugh as it is mylot that I was on so I tried to explain to her why I loved it so,but she does not have much computer saavy so I did not get to far. I have other things too i should do but once on here i am hooked, and I think oh just one more response, or one more comment on my responses to my own discussions. and here I sit. then the intercom yells girls time for lunch girls. he he girls, I am 83, my roomie is 80 so long time since we were girls.I have also fallen asleep here, I guess we are just mylot addicts but its a good addiction this time. he he.

Wow, 93, that is really great that you can be in here. I just turned 62 last monthy, and some days I feel 100. Anyway, I like you am addicted, and I can't seem to tear myself away from here, even though I know I should at times. It is just so much fun in here that I don't want to leave. I forget to eat at times too, as I get on here and just can't get off, but my son gets after me when I don't eat, He doesn't live with me, but he does see what I do eat sometimes, and he gets after me, so I better take time to ear when necdessary. i will start doing that, but eat fast and get right back on mylot. I really like mylot myself. I thought about leaving, but I just can't. I like the site too much. I think one day I may leave the site, but as for now I'll atleast come by and read all of the responses to my discussions and try to spend a little time on here. My concern was taxes on mylot money, as you have to report it either way. But I can't drag myself away from it, though I keep trying.
In any case, I wanted to respond and tell you know how you feel, sometimes I'll be sitting here on mylot and get so distracted that before I know it, it's time to eat as I'm hungry, or I have other responsibilities to attend to. Right now I'm having to look at the clock to make sure I have a grasp of the time, or I'll forget to do one thing that I really need to do.

I know what yo9u meant as I am always looking at my watch or my computer to see what time it is,and before I knows it, it is past the time I should be eating. Lately though, I have been eating much later than most days, as I have had to babysit the grand kids and they come first. Believe me, though, I do think about what is going on in here when I ma there though, wondering what kinds of disussions are being posted. I just hope I don't end up dreaming about mylot, as I don't need that. I think a bou them enough in the day time so at night I want to sleep and put my cares behind me,and mylot and go at it in the morning. Thank you for your response and happy mylotting.

i can say, mylot is the number one past time of mylotters. when i come to mylot, i also just don't want to leave the site. it's just that i want to post and post and post. i also want to have more time with mylot. when i come to office and work as i should, there are also some tasks i can't finished on time or ahead, because i am distracted by mylot. i wish there is no lunch break, as this will stop my posting time. i wish there is no bedtime, or my sleep will get distracted.

I must say that is really dedication. I do neglect to eat as I am on here and not taking time to eat. If my son knew about it, he would get upset with me not eating. Oh well, I will have to work around that for sure. I have though, brought food to the computer so I can keep going, and the problem is, I do keep going and not eat it, then it gets coild. So, for me it is a distraction, but I will continue to come in here anyway, as I will just change how I do things from now on. Thank you for your response, and happpy mylotting.

I like coming on here as well. Sometimes I get to typing and forget that I have other things to do such as homework and housework. I tend to hear my stomach growl several times before I answer and as a result I forget to eat. I have never fallen asleep while on here before, but give me time I probably will. I like being on here with my friends.

I homeschool my son and I freelance write along with being a wife so I don't get to spend as much time here as I would like to. It seems like a very interesting place. I'm hoping this summer when our school is over I will be able to spend more time here. :)

Welcome to mylot! I hope you fine your stay here very enjoyable and the you really have fun in here. This is a good place to have fun, and it is so easy to get wrapped up in here, and forget to do things that you need to do. I know it happens to me all the tiem. I do live alone as I am divorced, but even then, I sitll have responsibilities like babysitting and doing errands and such. I get reaslly distracted especially when I am posting responses as I forget to eat and even do the sites that I am a member of. I am hoping to start dividing my time up a little better so that doesn't happen, but I still think that mylot is a very good distraction. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting.

You are so right, that we can all come in here and speak oru mind. Yes, I do enjoy the comfort of my easy chair while I am in here, but the problem is, I fall asleep at a moment's notice. Welcome to mylot! I am glad that you are beginning to like it. That wqill make your time here enjoayable and full of fun, and that is what mylot is all about anyway. You will find thought like a lot of us are, that you won't be able to tear yourself away from it to do other things, and that is where the distraction comes in.
