Selling your Art, is possible on the Internet, however you need to be aware that there are scams out there, designed purely to rip artists off. For example there is a Scamster called Danny Dann, he allegedly comes from Hanover Germany. Right, No way, he is from Nigeria. His modus operandi, is to e mail the Artist and let them know that he wants to buy, more than one piece of their work. He tells them, he will be sending a Cheque for more than the value, this is supposedly the carrot he dangles to lure the gullible into his plans. He offers to send a Bank Cheque. The Bank cheque will be a forgery, and will not be able to be cashed. You cannot cash cheques internationally. Once the Cheque arrives the Artists sends him the work as he says that it is of the most importance he gets the work urgently. Most would never fall for this con artists crap, but some do. Hard to imagine, but some people actually get conned. The Scams are from Nigeria. Look at ecrater forums and hit the words Danny Dan it will tell you about him. You will also be able to see his dating Sites and a Photo of him, believe me he looks every bit Nigerian not German. So for anyone selling Art. Use Paypal, it is safer, than handing out your important details. Most bonafide Art buyers will pay in this way, not by International Cheque, they also would never offer more than the amount, they usually try to knock you down. Danny danny is just one of many.
