Do you have nosey neighbors?

I used to have an elderly neighbor who would make up these aweful allegations and terrorize the neighborhood with the help of her daughter. They even took my mom to court over something they allegedly saw her do in the wee hours of the morning. It was rediculous!

Yes, we have nosey neighbors. They lik eto call code enforcement on everyone. There are actually a couple neighbors like this. But they are the worse offenders who when it comes to needing the code enforcement called on them.
One weekend, my husband and his father was trimming braches and cutting trees down. The did this along 4 ajoining properties. Code enforcement was called with in three days. Because branches was still on the ground....Now to me that is just nick picking.

Ohhhhh, don't get me started on neighbours. We left behind the neighbours from hell, I would probably be in prison by now if we had not moved. (only joking) But our neighbours now are great and I am finally having some peace!

Where we live now, we have the best neighbors. We've been here for 16 years and have seen many kids born here and grow up over the years. We are like one big, happy family here. We watch out for each other, but aren't nosy. I've lived in other places where neighbors couldn't mind their own business, stuck their noses in your face every chance they got, and were always trying to see what everyone else was doing. I don't have the time to be nosy, and never did like people who did that for a living.

That's absolutely RIDICULOUS.
Talk about going over the line-I'm glad you don't live near that wacko anymore.
Our neighbors are pretty quiet. They play their music a little loud on the weekends, but never late night.
We're the younger ones in the neighborhood so we'd probably be the ones who would be the loud ones, but we're not at all.
There are some other people I've heard about in our neighborhood that supposedly have these dogs that never shut up.
Animal control has been called so many times and once the police were called because they got into it with the people who live next to them about the dogs.
Thank goodness we're not anywhere near them....
So, what was it that they claimed your mom did in the wee hours of the morning??

Over the line doesn't even come close to describing all the havoc these wackos reeked on our neighbors and ourselves. What happened in the particular incident that I mentioned was that one morning a police officer woke us all up at about 7am on a weekend morning claiming that the afore mentioned "nosey neighbors" were accusing my mom of pouring some kind of oil from a tea kettle onto the PUBLIC road alongside their house in the early morning around 5am or so. They filed a civil lawsuit against my mom for "criminal mischief" or some crap like that. Mind you, my mom is over 40 years old and is one of the kindest people you could ever know (she works in healthcare for goodness sakes!). Apparently, these psychos had been terrorizing our neighbors (all of whom we consider close friends) since before my family moved in, which was 16 years ago. Thankfully, they have since left the area, and the last I heard, the daughter was arrested for physically abusing her elderly mother. Thank your lucky stars all you have to deal with is a little noise and some barking dogs once in a while.

My neighbors are pretty decent for the most part where I love now. When I was a teenager however in a different area, the neighbors used to watch me like a hawk and report eveything I did to my parents. I didnt do anything bad really but if I as much as picked a flower off the bush my parents new.

I think that probably has something to do with the stigma that teenagers have to live with; that none of them are to be trusted and that they are all hoodlums. I'm going on 25 years old, but I don't look my age and I have trouble getting respect from adults who think I'm a teen. It makes me feel bad for my younger brother who is 16 because he's a really good kid (for the most part lol). Thanks for posting!

Well I live next to an older lady and shes pretty quite, but on the other side is a woman with a lot of kids who can be very loud, but so is my son.
