what would you want for a pet, a cat or a dog? i prefer cats because dogs can get really scary when they bark really loud. cats are sweet pets and really quiet creatures. i only hate it when they have this habit of going on top of the dining table to get some food. how about you?

I like cats because cats are like women while dogs are like men. Wahahaha. I mean, dogs are dominant than cats. I mean, what I perceive for the dogs are dominant while cats are submissive.

oh heck no! Put a fiesty cat in the room with a dog and see who's ruling the roost! haha At "feeding time" my cat is always there first and the 2 dogs have learned that they need to wait patently for Dexter to be done eating or they're going to get smacked a good one! lol Cats are WAY more dominant - I think. Dogs do what they're told. They're taught commands, to listen, etc. Cats are cats - you can train them to not scratch the couch or not jump on tables but other than that, cats are going to do what they want to do. If they don't want pet, you better stay away. Dogs are more "what can I do, huh huh? What can I do now?" lol

I prefer both.I love dogs.I love their friendly nature and how they want to be always by your side.I love cats because they are independent and can take care of themselves well.I love pets in general.

Well... if you think that cats dont' turn evil you are SADLY mistaken! There are great cats and bad cats, same as great dogs and bad dogs!! I had a cat once who would act like she was all nice and want you to pet her and then BAM!!! All her claws in your arm, biting the hell out of ya! She scared the crap out of me more than a few times! I personally have 2 dogs and 2 cats. And its interesting because one of each of them is really behaved well, and then one dog and one cat are a little rebelious and they're always going in "time out" and getting hollared at for something. I think it more so depends on your life style what animal you should get. Cats are really good at taking care of themselves as long as you leave them food, water, and a clean litter box. So if you work long hours or take a lot of weekend trips, then a cat would be better b/c you don't need to find a "cat sitter". If you're home a lot, need someone to play with, etc and have the time and the room to let a dog run in the house, plenty of yard or a nice park somewhere near by to make sure he/she gets walked and doesn't do his/her business in the house... then a dog will be ok. Just keep in mind - puppies are A LOT of work - and kittens aren't just born well behaved. Although, it is a lot easier to train a cat not to jump on the table the nit is to get a dog to not poop on your floor. hehe AND not all dogs are barkers. One of my dog barks even if she hears a doorbell on TV - and then the other dog, Victory just kind of runs to the door, never makes a peep. lol

I'm a cat person, but I've had both over my lifetime. Yes dogs can be real noisy when it comes to barking, but cats are mostly independent creatures. You give them food, water and a place to go to the bathroom and they're fine for the most part. I've got two of my own right now and they are the best two I've had.

I prefer dogs because cats are usually high-tempered. I am afraid of their claws. I was just bitten by a cat last week. I was just cuddling her and then she suddenly bit my hand. Thank goodness it was not a deep cut.

I really love to keep a dog as a pet because it is most faithful animal i ever seen and he watch our home if any stranger man comes he makes the sound of howling. I didn't like cat it is opposite of dog.
