Would you tell someone they had a ticket?

I was sitting in the car as an officer drove up and looked intently at a minivan half-parked out on the alley. He slowed down and got down the information for the van and drove around, came back and planted a ticket on the windshield. After about 5 minutes, a family came out and as they locked in they didn't notice the ticket which was on the windshield. So they drove off. My brother said we should have said something because if it flew away they wouldn't ever know they had a citation. I agreed. Would you tell someone they had a ticket even though they don't realize it?

Yes, I think I would tell the driver that there was ticket on his windshield if I thought he hadn't seen it. I wouldn't feel too badly that you didn't tell him, though. I don't think the ticket would have been very likely to blow away, even at high speeds because the rubber on the windshield wipers would grip it tightly to the glass.

Thanks, I'm hoping so too as it might be at the next light that they pull over to find a sheet that is the ticket of which they will pay attention to closely. Thanks for the input again.

I would do what I would want to happen if I were the driver. I would try to bring their attention to the ticket.

Yes I thought so too but who knew that the driver would drive off so quick I might as well give them another ticket for hit and run LOL but all laughs aside, it's not nice being slapped with a fine and not know where it came from.
