Do we really need to pray?

Do you think prayer is important? Why you don't pray, is it because you don't have time? or is it because you don't know how to pray? or is it because you don't think it's important to pray? or any other reasons.

That question to me is similar to:
Do I really need to eat?
Do I really need to drink?
Do I really need to breathe?
Do I really need to wash?
Prayer is part of each and every day. It could not be any other way.

Yeah, it could be similar to what you've mentioned,as it's part of our life in order to live and survive this troubled world. But for some it could mean nothing and unimportant. How I wish prayer is like an air that we breath. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Hi careguarden! I'm happy to see that you value your relationship with God.
Prayer is where we talk to God. Reading the Bible is where we listen to God talk to us. I know that some people have no time for either. If they neglect these important factors in life, in the end when they have to answer for how they have used their lives, what will they say to God? "God, I did not make any time for you, but reward me with everlasting life in paradise anyway?" What do you think God will say?

prayer as food to our spiritual life. whenever we are praying we are closer to god and by prayer people be protected from darkness life, pray is the light for life by keep praying we will know the purpose of our life. and we will deliver from sin. and by prayer every part of our life will have great changes and will be blessed forever

Yes. Based on my experience, prayer is very helpful. you don't have to wait for a particular time in the day to pray...anytime, anywhere you can always say a little prayer. you can always thank god, ask for his gidance and feel sorry for whatever shortcomings you made.

Yes, prayer is very important because this is the way of communicating to God like thanking him of all the blessing that he gave and asking for something. And you are asking if there is a person who don't know how to pray, no all the people know how to pray because saying "help me God" is already a prayer. Prayer is part of our life. Thanks!!!

for me its needed. it's not just our physical and mental being that needs to be flourished...we also need to make our spiritual being grow and praying is one way to do it.

I don't know how to pray, but I do pray my way sometimes. I think there are so many ways to pray and I believe we don't need to pray to feel close to God as long as we have faith and talk to him to me that is just like praying. I do thank god for all the good things in my life.
