i read the book and was truly devastated... i would say that the best love stories are the ones where they don't end up together in the end. i haven't seen the movie yet but for those who did... how was it??

I have seen dear jOhn.. NICHOLAS SPARKS is one of my favorite authors. This book is am not really a fan of it because it has a very bad ending and it the story here was
so very dragging. I'm still looking forward to watch it in DVD copy.. hahaha

yeah it really sucks that they didn't end up together. i hope that seeing channing tatum on screen would somehow make the movie worth it... lol

Hi there! :) "Dear John" is a definitely MUST-READ BOOK!! It is a compelling love story with an ending that will break your heart and at the same time admire it. All Nicholas Sparks books are actually very good ones. Ones that will make you not put the book down. I actually watched the movie. It was very disappointing! They changed the story....made it a happy ending instead of the one in the book. The ending in the book was way better. :) Anyway, books are really better than when it becomes a movie. :) Happy MyLotting and READING. :D

I haven't seen the movie and I have no plan at the moment to catch it on theaters. I will just wait for DVD copies. But I read the plot of the story in the net, and I was not really impressed with the story of Dear John. There's no excitement on it that's why I didn't push through watching it on cinema.
