Today is ash Wednesday, the beginning of the lenten season. As an observance of the lenten season all christians have to go to the church for the imposition of ashes on the forehead. for me i already attended mass this morning and received ashes on my forehead. how about you do you observed this kind of preparation for the lenten season?

Oh, I didn't know today is ash Wednesday. So, when is Easter. When I used to stay with my parents, I went to church on all special occassions like ash Wednesday. My parents used to keep all the important dates in mind and sent us to church. Now, I live in a city, alone and there is nobody to remind me and no church of my caste, nearby.

Just now I received my ash from the mass. I thought I'm not going to make since my pre-board exams ended at 7:00 pm and mass ends 7:30 pm but just my luck I still got the ash. This means no pork for 40 days and having abstinence.
