why is it important to get enough sleep?

during the past years that i don't have work, i sleep more than 8 to 10 hours a day and i can rest as much as i needed even i am not pressured nor worn out that day. Right now that i have work i can't get enough sleep cause of my work and i needed extra money so i need to make some overtime in my work and not only that, i travel bout 30-45 minutes before i can go home. when i am at home need to rest a while, then eat, rest a little bit and prepare for bed. i sleep only 6-7hours a day and never sleep in daytime. can anyone suggest on how to make my sleep worthwhile though i have only 6-7hours sleeping time?

oh well, I have the hard time to complete the required time to sleep because I need to review the upcoming board exams in CPA, but i believe it is important and a must to sleep at required time

you should be, i mean complete the hours of sleep so that you mind, body and soul can relax and when the time comes you will have enough energy specially ur taking ur CPA exams. gudluck to you my dear friend! rest well in ur sleep!

My suggestion is to spend those 6-7 hours of sleep in complete darkness, or at least make your room as dark as possible. My mom read an article about how cells regenerate best at night, when it's normally dark, so it's not good sleeping with the lights on. Also taking naps during the day may in a way help you in terms of not being woozy and sleepy, but the body's cell regeneration happens at nighttime.

I think the number of hours we need of sleep each night differs from person to person. Ever since the age of 20, I get on average 5 hours of sleep a week, and as far as I can tell, it hasn't had any negative effect on me Some people just need more sleep than others, and some can survive on only a few hours each night

do things that makes you sleep easily. then if you have slept try not to be disturbed by your family members and make it a habit so that your mind can register it as a sleep that is equivalent to 8-10 hours of sleep.

I think It's enough Because I also sleep 6-7 hours a day and I also never sleep at daytime. It's very important to get enough sleep because if you not sleep can be sick.
