I came across ShortTask and gave it a try yesterday. It makes you do numerous tasks and offers to pay upon completion. I've submitted 48 tasks since yesterday and as of the moment I have $0.58 from 9 approved works. The remaining 32 jobs I did are still afloat. I tried doing a bit of research on Short Task and found out it was owned by Harrison Barnes, infamous for having numerous scam sites. I haven't seen any payment proofs from this site, so I wanted to ask if any of you have tried this site out -- did you get paid or do you agree that ShortTask really is a scam site? Thanks.

If you like doing these types of tasks, have you tried Amazon Mechanical Turk? There is no minimum pauout and there is no question that Amazon is legit. I have done tasks through them for several years and never had any trouble getting paid. I usually let my balance build and then use the money to buy gifts through Amazon, but you can have it deposited to your bank as well.

Hello there! Yeah I've tried Amazon Mechanical Turk too but I agree, non US citizens don't get paid real money but instead get Amazon cash which is not really useful unless there is a need for certain types of books and the like. I had to learn that the hard way, too bad I won't be able to use the credit I earned there because books aren't really my thing :(

Amazon Mechanical Turk is legit, but for non US workers, it is hard to say that this is the right method to get money, how could u can get benefits with Amazon balance?buying expensive books?buying unuseful gifts?i think if they think bout, there are lots of non US workers outside there who could help the requester finishing their task

since you already have a hint, will you still be doing business with them? you said, you know barnes and is also responsible with shorttask, then it's more than an evidence or proof, not to stay there. will you still wait to see proof of payment? or you will still wait until you see proof of scam?

Good point neil. I haven't really invested anymore time with them to do tasks. It seems that most of the tasks listed there comes from the same admin who runs the site. Shorttask seems to be their avenue to get more traffic for their other scam sites, the job listings website owned by the same guy who owns Shorttask. Not really a good thing. Boo. Sad though that I have to let go of some of my earnings there.

Have you checked if it says anywhere how long the seekers have to approve of the tasks? Some places they have a week to approve tasks, so you should see your earnings increase. Even if they have only a day or two too, it'll depend on the time zone etc, I'd wait some days before declaring it a scam.

Hi there It seems that there are a lot of websites that have the same function which is paying people for mini tasks. This is the first time that I've heard of that website and it's good that you were able to research before it's too late. Anyways,i f you are into doing minitasks i could recommend microworkers.I have friends who were paid by that website and I think it works the same as ShortTask. You can also try cloud crowd which is an application of facebook. Hope this helps :)
