So for my 33rd Birthday I gave my self a Doctors Appt. A complete check up I mean blood work and all. So Yesterday I get a call from my doctor's office now there have been speculations from family members that I am a diabetic, I had the same fear. But, the good news I am not. Now the down side to this they said my Liver Count was way to high which scares the crap out of me. I am not a drinker I used to be in my past but not now nor have I been for years. I am just wondering if you may know what could cause your liver count to be to high.

Happy birthday. Best wishes with your health results. When I donated blood to the Red Cross they sent me a notice saying there was a high chance I had Hepatitis B and banned me from giving blood with them ever again. I got blood work done and do not have HBV. Might have been high liver enzymes or something, who knows? That was very scary, but my point is to just hang in there and hope for the best, because you never know! Plus, if something IS wrong, at least you know about it and can control it better or treat it. Good luck!!

That would scare the poop right out of me! I am scared now with me having 2 babies to raise. I am gald that yours turned out not to be anything big. I am hoping the same for me. Ture you are if something is wrong atleast I will know now and maybe have time to slow it down or fix it. Thanks again for your kind words and your thoughts.

I'm what my doctor calls "insulin resistant" and I have high blood pressure. Neither of these conditions was discovered until I was pregnant. Apparently the two can go hand in hand and I'm on medication for my blood pressure that as some kind of added ingredient to protect my liver. I'd sit down with your doctor and as questions. I know my situation could be reversed if I could lose some weight but I need to get started.

Hi Sweets I would ask for them to repeat the test before I worry about it. Then I would ask the dr to explain what this test actually means to me What do I need to do to help myself. Good luck xooxoxxoxo

sxrxnrr45601 hi if it were me I would go to WebMD.com and write in hjigh liver count and see what information and help you can get, I had hepatitis in my twenties and it took a few years to get my liver and my stamina back up to par. Drinking even way back may have contributed a bit to the liver count, but remember we are none of us bona fide doctors here. Also go back and ask a lot more questions of your doctor. let us know how you are doing. too.

It is a good birthday gift to yourself and I think I should do the same at that age. Anyway, it is nice to hear that you don't have diabetics. I share your happens regarding this. I don't know more about liver count. Please check with your doctor and see what can be done in this situation. Anyway, it is good that you stopped taking drinks.
