What three things would you do for the world if you were given 3 wishes?

Let's just imagine for a minute that you were walking outside one day and you came across an antique bottle just laying on the ground. So you are curious, then you pick it up and suddenly smoke comes pouring out of it. From that smoke you then hear a voice speak to you. The voice says to you that you are granted 3 wishes to change the world in any way you see fit. Now what three things would you do for our world and how would those things affect the people living in this world?

I would not trust a genii bottle, because I would know that even if I wished for something that would benefit the world, like international peace, everyone converted to Christianity, the return of Christ in the clouds with HIS saints, that genii would not grant those wishes but make me feel as if he did.
So that international peace might be brought by an evil dictator disarming his opponents so they would oppose him, those conversions may not be honest conversions, and it may be a demon pretending to be Christ to fool the unwary.

I keep thinking of that fairy tale of someone who wished for a long life and to live forever, only he forgot to ask to not grow old. Yes, you have to watch for things. It is not that what crosses your path, it is who you deal with. You cannot get anything for nothing and there is always path and you certainly should not cross geniis who come out of bottles.

Nice point that you make. You always have to aware of what you do in life and what crosses your path.

I truly believe that when the day of judgment comes upon us, we all will have to answer to our sins and ask for forgiveness from the lord above.

Okay my response is probably going to be a bit different than any others.
If I had three wishes for the world I WOULD NOT wish for world peace, world health, or end of famine. All of those factors leads to another problem that would quickly need to be addressed by the population: over population. And over population is a bigger problem than war. SO having said that I would wish for- every person alive now, and born in the future would have common sense, and the same base intelligence, which would help curb racism, segregation and start solving world issues like famine and unfit living conditions. My second wish would be to remove jealousy and greed from the human condition completely- effectively ending wars and the need for subjugation. My third wish would be for total religious understanding among the world peoples. That one is pretty self explanatory, but that in itself would also help stop more wars and conflicts than the other two.
Now for those people who would wish directly for their family, ask yourselves this: Wouldn't this help keep your family and friends safe, happy, healthy and probably a bit more wealthy in the long run? I know it would mine because all my friends in Iraq and Kuwait would be home now, with out bullets in them.

Strong and understandable response Psycopaz. When faced with such a decision one would tend to ask for the most common things that would help out the whole world. In the long run, who really knows what could actually change our world for the better. It doesn't have to be the most obvious wishes.

Not to sound like I am in a beauty pageant but I would want 1. World peace 2. A world free of disaster (man-made or nature) 3. A world free of poverty. I don't really know it will affect people living in this world but I think it will at least make things better than what has been happening within this few years.

It doesn't hurt to be extremely wealthy either. When you are wealthy you can help a lot more people in the world so I like that wish.

Good third wish. Lol. I like the spiritual health wish because the human body all comes down to the human spirit.

1, Everyone is healthy in the world. This is the most important thing but it's unreal.
2, Build school for the poor area people. Everyone has the right to be educated. This can be done with our effects.
3, Provide a platform for unmarried people. This is a common phenomenon that people are get married at very old age. It's realistic and we can make it.
Happy Mylotting!

Health is one of the most important thing one should have. Life is precious and how we take care of ourselves will determine how long we are around to enjoy all the things life has to offer us in the future.

3 wishes for the world:
1. No more religions - as long as there are religions, there will always be war. In short, i want peace on earth and goodwill to man. There should only be love, not war.
2. No more pollution - from manufacturing companies, from garbages, from smoking. They all cause cancer.
3. No more greed and jealousy - these are the root of all evil, not money. The reason why there are abuse of all forms and why people continue to work for money...so that he or she could have the same nice thing as others have.
That's all...oh and I'm willing to sleep inside that bottle if these wishes were to be granted cause I would be so darn curious whose voice could that be...it ain't Gerard Butler's is it? lol

Peace on earth would be such a beautiful thing. We would not have all these illegal weapons around us so that is a great wish to be granted. I feel that the pollution problem is really getting bad and we need to change that situation. And Greed to me is one of the biggest problems we face today. Why can't be feeling jealous of others who want to excel in life. Everyone must do what they do best in life so that they can have what everyone else has.

I would ask for world peace to start with. Second wish would be that there would be no poverty in the world. My third wish would be there would be no pollution in the world. These are are my three wishes if I ever found a gene in a lamp! If that would happen I would love it to be the gene from Aladdin with Robin Williams voice!

Sometimes I wish that this world was a lot like the world in the movie Avatar. The people in Avatar live in peace and harmony and are good to nature and all the animals in it.

well to be honest I will prob get slated for this if I had 3 wishes I wouldn't wish anything for the world it would all be related to my family,
I would wish health, wealth and happiness for my family
the only world I am interested in is the immediate world that affects me and my family we have our own problems and lives to lead and I would leave the rest of the world to live their lives.

Family is our foundation. When everyone bails out on us, in the end our family will always be there so I can understand your response.

I can´t think of anything to wish. It seems that I don´t have the wisdom to wish for such big things.
I don´t want people to be hungry. But I would know how to do it without making maybe worse disasters.
I don´t like weapons and want peace. But I´m not sure the lack of weapons would grat the peace I want.
I don´t like the Earth to be endangered as it is. But how to do it escapes me.
Therefore, my friend, I choose to pass. Less someone else pick the bottle.
Take care!

I know what you mean. It would be scary for some to be put in that kind of position. This would mean that the whole worlds future would be in your hands. I can absolutely understand why you would choose not to touch the bottle.

3 wishes is not nearly enough but here goes. I would cure cancer. I would end world hunger. I would cease wars. These are all catastrophes this world is better off without.

Your right. They are all big problems our world faces today. And the wishes you chose would definitely change a lot of things on our planet.

Family is very important, especially in this crazy world we live in today. They always say that blood is thicker than water. I love knowing that my family is safe and secure at all times.

Number 1 would definitely be world peace! I know that's way too old but I really want that. I really want the people to stop fighting with each other. I just want the world to be a happy place where in we are comfortable living in it.
Number 2 maybe for our environment, about global warming. Since nowadays a lot are happening like earthquakes and floods. I wish people would be more aware and be more helpful in conserving our environment.
Number 3, I can't think of any. I think with world peace, the world would be a better place and I think everything will follow like love, contentment, etc.

World peace in my opinion would be on top of my list as well. The world would be so different if that wish were to get granted. Global warming is effecting the earth more and more each year, but a lot of people don't realize it. Our environment is all we got when it comes down to it and if it goes it will get extremely difficult for us to live on the planet.
