I gathered so many clothes i do not wear that many I have not dressed, often buy something that I like very much, and then not wear them again. I have stored in the attic, in boxes, but I want to give alms, take up too much space, then why not give them to someone wearing them?. What do the clothes you do not wear you and your family? Thrown away, storing it or them give to charity?

I usually bring my older stuff that I don't wear anymore to GoodWill. I plan on moving sometime this summer from FL to TN. So when i am packing I will most likely give whatever I can't sell to goodwill. Then maybe someone else can use them.

Yeah, my last trip to goodwill was like 3 or 4 bags of random stuff that I had. I know in about 6 or 7 months I will be bringing A LOT of stuff to the local goodwill.

Hi, Ice! I often give clothes, shoes and bags to charity when they're no longer being used. I generally buy very classic styles, so they're timeless. They don't really go out of style. There are several groups that collect clothes to help needy women dress for job interviews and for work, and I love to think they'll get important use!

Usually I have found the easiest thing to do is Freecycle them. It is a much faster and easier way to rid yourself of something you no longer want. People are always happy to get stuff for free and are glad to travel to you and pick it up themselves.

When I have a bunch of clothes I never wear, I like to take them to my local vintage store- they go through clothes people bring in and buy some from them to sell in their store. You should find out if there are any store like that in your area. Its a great way to make some extra money and get rid of your old stuff. If not, than donating clothes to the salvation army or some other charity is another good way to get rid of stuff.

I ll interest,Red Cross can collect for disadvantaged people, it's a good idea. Many still have the label on them, I'm not tempted to sell them, but I gladly give something to Red Cross for charity.

Usually if the clothes is in the bad condition then that clothes will either throw them away or make them as napkins. But if the clothes is still in the good conditions then i will give it to other as charity, like some of my relatives or others. If i can't find someone who i could give the clothes to, then i will keep it in the box before i find the right person i will give it to.

Whenever I have old clothes that are in good condition I give them to charity. I throw out anything that is in poor condition. Mostly, I end up giving away a lot of baby clothes and children's clothes, as the children grow out of them before they have a chance to get worn out.

I used to give the childrens' old clothing to cousins who had younger children. Now we store them until we have time to have a yard sale and then we donate whatever is left over.

It depends on the condtion. If they are in near new, slightly worn condition I'll sell them on eBay or if I just don't have the time I'll donate them to goodwill for a tax writeoff.

I try to ask my siblings if they want it or my nieces. The rest, I sell them at a recycling center and for those not sold, I give them to the church or garbage collector

I have a clear out twice a year and everything is sorted into three piles. The keep pile which I put back in the wardrobe, the sell pile which goes onto eBay and the charity shop pile which is taken to our nearest charity shop.

Mostly, we store them in cabinets until it fills up one or two boxes then hand it out for charity or give it to relatives and friends who would probably need it. Some of my friends put it up on garage sales. We also try torecycle old and damage clothes. turn them into house rags or the sort, but never just throw it away. I think that the best thing to do is either recycle it or danate it.

My mom usually makes us clean up our closet of the clothes we don't wear and she would give it to other family members who are not so well off. Sometimes, she gives it to neighbors. One time I think she invited people to our garden and all are clothes were there, it was like a garage sale, but everything is free. Hehehehe. We never throw away clothes, unless it's really not wearable anymore, and then we could make it like a cleaning rag.

I store clothes and give them away to poor people. Also our maid who stays 24-7 wears a few of my clothes. I keep the old bath towels to wipe floor and things like that. Only recently I found out that in an old suitcase there were clothes of my husband of his school days...i immediately gave it away...

I usually give my old clothes to the Deseret Industries or Goodwill. I think it's nice to give back to them since I buy a lot of items from there to begin with. I would really love to get rid of a whole bunch of my clothes right now, but I talk myself out of it by saying that eventually I'll wear them again.

Some of my kid's clothes I give to parents who have kid at appropriate age. If not - I gather them. I think they;ll be in use some day again. According to my clothes, I gather them with the idea that I'll wear them some day...Well I don't, so some day of the year I just but them in bags and carry them to the recycling bin. I put them aside and I'm 100% sure someone will take them. Actually, it'd never happen the bags to stay there more than an hour.
