Are You Brand Conscious?

Hi my lotters, I went shopping today and there were a wide variety of brands out in the market today. I don't know what came over me but as I was going through the items and brands a thought struck me: how many people out there are brand conscious and how many are not? It brought me back to memory lane in high school and college. You know we have different groups in school... there were the chick sistahs (the beautiful, rich, snobby bratinellas who could afford anything, usually they have the mean streak), the outcasts ( those who were less amusing, usually the silent types average students and not fashion forward), the brainiacs ( the super intellectuals, usually the geeks, some are fashion forward but mostly average dressers), the hiphop and the punk group.oh and I'm forgetting the models of deportment students ( they were the prim and proper, the conservative and religious type). Why I went back reminiscing well most of my high school and college days were the days when getting into the latest trends and fashion makes you part of the "it" trend. Like for example in college when I took my swimming class for my Physical education subject, we had no swim suit uniform, we were free to buy whatever swimsuit as long as it was black and a monokini, not too sexy lets say traditional. Well we had 2 weeks to buy our swimsuit and during the first week most students bought their swimsuit already and guess what everyone came in with Speedo. For a student Speedo is quite pricey. So the rest of the student who did not buy swimsuits yet were pressured in buying the smae thing because that was what everyone wore. i know right now it may seem ridiculous but there are times in our lives when we are pushed to be brand conscious. You wear this brand of Shirt or clothes to school because it is the "it" thing, I guess you all understand what I mean we all went through this phase right? So who among you prefers branded products compared to not so famous brands to brandless? and why? And wgo among you don;'t give a hoot about brands as long as it fits and it suits you. Share pips! I am not really a brand conscious shopper.the important things for me are the quality, fit, and price.lucky for me,I got designer items at cheap prices.I got a Marc Jacobs skirt and coat and a Dolce and Gabbana dress for dirt-cheap prices.I got for vintage and secondhand items that are still in good condition.

I'm not into signature clothes, as long as it looks good on me and I like the style then that's fine. But when it comes to party or some special occasions or gathering then I'm more into some branded clothes. Well anyway the best thing is you're confident with what you wear, whatever it maybe it will always makes you shine.

i dont bother about brands though there are a few friends of mine that only buy branded stuff. i, for one, buys stuff that fits me and looks nice on me. these blouses, dresses, skirts, shoes are very reasonably priced and i usually buy them from the day and night markets. at other times i bought them from the shopping complexes and bazaars. at department stores and boutiques, at times, there are good bargain buys during sales where i can purchase them at a fraction of the original price.i must go early to get good bargains when the sales start. i can get lovely colours and the right sizes too. as long as i take good care of my clothings and stuff, they can really last and last. for grocery etc, i go and get them when there are promotions and members day sales. there are quite a bit of savings here and there.
