Do you complain when your chicken is smaller than the other customer? :)

Have you ever experienced doing so? I don't know if it's unethical. I know friends who complain when their meal is smaller in size than what I got. Haha. And they sometimes have this tendency to complain and insist changing the food to a bigger one. I don't see any problem there. But, I just find it quite embarrassing. What do you think? :)

Oh, I don't complain for that. It is embarassing to complain about that. Last weekend, I went to a friend's wedding reception with some of my friends. I found that the chicken piece I got was much smaller compred to many other people. I was embarassed to report that. Moreover, the food was free. It is normal to happen, but I don't mind.

I think we have no right to complain if it is free. Haha. That would really be embarrasing :)

I differ with you daliaj! It was a function and you were invited to be a guest. They have to fulfill your needs in the dining chamber. If you liked chicken and felt it was too small, you might have asked another piece too.I think they would have appreciated it.In fact, catering people love people enjoying their preparations.

Hi! I think i will, because we both have paid the same money for the same thing, but I have received a smaller one. I really don't like when I pay for something, to get something what is smaller or even bigger than the same thing, which some other has bought. I think we all must get the same quality and the same size of the things we buy and so not to compare them with the others

I think they are just exercising their right as customers. There is a saying that "Customer is always right". I also think it is quite embarrasing to demand that but I guess some have the guts to exercise that right. I think both of you paid for the same meal so each should receive the same amount of food when they get it.

Yeah. I commend those who have the guts to do so. :) I'd only complain if there are dirty stuffs on my food. :)

Well I think you just need to assert your right if you want to and be persistent in trying to get what you deserved to get.

Oh no.. I complained once, when my large McFloat was lesser compared to the first customer. But they admitted they don't have ice that time that's why it appeared to be smaller than an ordinary McFloat :)

Hi cecil! I do not see what other are having.. I just enjoy my meals when we are at a eating joint. I do not have time to compare and measure the size and quantity of dishes and I think it is uncivilized to look at others, what they are enjoying.

I agree. I also don't like being looked at during eating. Also find it rude.

The only time I have ever complained (but I wasn't really a customer but a guest I suppose) was when I was in hospital after I gave birth to my son. Each time chicken was served for lunch we all got the wings, never any other part On the third occasion I asked the nurse who brought the meals round whether the chickens that the hospital used were a special breed as they didn't appear to have bre*sts or legs

I can't blame those who do insist to get a bigger piece because you paid for it. You don't have the right to complain is it's given to you. Although like you i find it embarrassing to complain about food especially with everyone hearing every word you say.

Same here. I would complain to my companions and not in front of the crew.

Hello cecillecarmela, I find it funny. I don't feel jealous if my friends get bigger portion than me and I will never ask for a bigger one In fact, it is not a big problem to me. The smaller I get, the better

When I buy a friend chicken I choose the big one.If it is already served to me I not complained. I'm shy in terms of it. Anyway that's the same food.It matters how you eat it together with food.Sound funny but I also hear it sometimes in the crenderia or canteen.I cannot tell it frankly to the seller or server I just accept it andd fine.

Hi cecillecarmela What?? Is that true, there are persons that really complain about it? You know, I laughed when I see this discussion in my myLot diggest Of course not, and yes, nothing wrong with complaining about that, but still I think it's emrbrassing. I mean, that meal already prepared and served for us, it's not ethic to ask for change just because the size. The case is different if there's fly or animal or the food not in edible condition anymore, that's ok and a must to complain. But for me, size doesn't matter

Well, my friend. The food vendors of our country are very much conscious about the quantity or size of their food items. This type of case is very rare here. If ever any consumer lodge any complaint of smaller quantity or size of the food item, the seller apologizes and replaces it. In such cases, I usually ignore and continue my eating because this doesn't happen often. Have a nice day.

I don't complain because I would feel that I would be showing myself up and make myself look like an idiot I do feel slightly disappointed though when somebody directly in front of me manages to score that nice big delcious chicken, and I get left with some miniscule excuse of a bird

hello cecillecarmela! Haha! I know! So as my friends but not in a way that they're becoming rude or acting like crazy hungry hyenas.lolz One would make joke and compare her fried chicken to another which is really funny and childish. But, I can't blame anyone whose hungry right?! As for me, I really don't mind getting smaller chicken or whatever food it is besides I'm on a diet. Hehe! I'm actually planning to lose a lot of weight this year and getting small servings is good thing for me. Happy Lotting!

If you think, that the food your paying is not worth it. Why not? I would complain if i have to. heheh.. I'm just exercising rights. Were paying the right amount and they should also give us what it's worth...

Well here in the US, meat is generally sold by weight, so I wouldn't care if the chicken was smaller than the other person's chicken because I would be paying less money for it.

I just don't complain.Instead,I ask the server directly to have a good piece for me.Why should one hesitate to ask for it.it happens only in two places. One in a hotel or in a feast. If it happens in the hotel, well,we pay for it and we have all the rights to ask for and if in a feast, then their goal is to satisfy all the guests and serving you is their motto. The next time, don't feel embarrassed to mention it.

I never complain. But deep inside, I felt jealous.lol! I mean, at least I never showed my rudeness and the display of blatant bad manner, I just kept quite and just assured myself for the "biggest" one next meal.hehehe. But I know there are lots of people who really complained, oh my gosh! that's so embarrassing because the food chain crew might create an impression that this person is an impossible hostile glutton. So i will never never complain about the small sized chicken, beef steak or anything.

frankly, i don't cecillecarmela. that is, if you're talking about supermarket chicken. but if it's the fastfood kind you're talking here and the difference is obvious, i will definitely call the attention of the manager. fastfoods use weighing scales in arriving at the sizes of chicken they serve. but you know, different cuts have different shrinkages when cooked. don't forget, parts with heavy fat will end up smaller that those with thin fats. so, whenever possible, i ask for parts which have less fat...
